Are you a Back to the Future fan? (Chad is going to love this). Well have I got just the thing for you! Back to the Future street improv. Yeah, it’s cheesy and poorly acted, but who cares, right? It’s just good plain fun.

I sure do love Honest Trailers. They’re always varying degrees of good, hardly ever bad. While this one falls somwhere in the middle one the good scale, it’s still pretty good. And yeah, I knew I couldn’t be the only person in the whole road having flashes of the dreaded Rainbow Road from Mario Kart whenver they showed the Rainbow Bridge in Thor.
Thor was easily my least favorite of the pre-Avengers Marvel films which makes this trailer work even better.
Oh man, oh man, oh man! This is going to be soooooo good. I can already see I’m glad to have Bryan Singer back at the helm. This trailer has the tone that made his first two X-Men films so good. Of course as expected from the title, this film is about the mingling and crossing over of the past and the future. And probably about setting some things right that Brett Ratner screwed up.
But this… this is going to be epic you guys! I can’t wait. May 23rd, 2014 can’t come soon enough!
But maybe the biggest difference is that, when communing on the Degobah-like planet (aided by Minch, not Yoda), Luke actually comes in contact with the ghost of his father. And that father isn’t Darth Vader. As Ryan notes, “this pretty much proves that the Vader-Luke, father-son relationship was not Lucas’ plan all along.”
Well, phooey. I’m not a big fan of Lucas’, but I’ve always defended him on this when he says Vader was always supposed to be Luke’s dad. But apparently not. Of course the other explanation is that the Leigh Brackett (original screenwriter of this less then stellar draft)…
Read The Rest“Miss Everdeen, would you like to be in a real war?” President Snow wants to know. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire comes out in just 24 days. Given that short period of time, the studio has seen fit to release to us the final trailer.
This one is going to be a good one, guys. This trailer is only a minute, but it’s got me ready to get myself to the theater and watch. Of course I’ll have to wait until November 22. Have a look:
He’s kind of like a kid in a candy store. It must be amazing to get to work on stuff that you’ve been a fan of since you were a little boy. What must that be like? And I love the line where he says, “I get to suggest stuff, and people actually listen — which is a new experience for me in Hollywood.” Don’t we know it.
As we move into Oscar season, we’re finally seeing something good in the theaters. The Book Thief is certainly in the “looking good” category. I want to see this film a lot! This film is based on the novel by Marcus Zusak and stars Geoffrey Rush, Emily Watson and relative newcomer Sophie Nélisse as Liesel Meminger — and if the trailers are any indication she looks like she’ll be fantastic.
Make no mistake, while this film can certainly be classified as a WWII film given the subject matter, this does not look like your ordinary fare. And we’ll be able to see for ourselves soon enough as the…
Read The RestSo apparently in 2048, we’re going to get robot police officers, which actually sounds a little bit scary. But it makes for a great sci-fi TV show concept, amiright? Especially when Karl Urban is involved. Count me in!
JJ Abrams is techincally the executive producer — however much that means for the busy man these days — so we can only hope that this show can get somewhere in the ballpark of Abrams last really good show: Fringe.
The show premieres on Fox, Monday, November 17th, 2013.
For those of you looking forward to this film as I am, I’ve got a little treat for you. Summit has prepared a nice little behind the scenes video about the making of Ender’s Game which will be released to theaters on November 1st.
There’s always something a little bit fun and cool for me to see a video of how they make stuff, even if it’s really less about the nitty gritty details of making the film and more about promoting the film.
Fun fact, when I saw director Gavin Hood on the screen I thought, “he looks familiar,” so I looked him up. He played a Russian Colonel Alexi Vaselov (aka a…
Read The RestIt’s almost here you guys and I cannot wait! This film comes straight from Asguard and lands in our theaters on November 8th. First up, Jane is pretty ticked that Thor didn’t even come see her when he was here on earth just hanging out in New York. But it seems his excuse “isn’t bad”. You think she would cut him a little slack since he helped to save our fair world.
In the second clip, Sif thinks she has things under control when Thor steps in to save the day anyway. She doesn’t seem to happy about it.
I expect this film to be quite a bit better than the first Thor film which, in my opinion…
