Netflix’s First ‘Daredevil’ Trailer

Netflix’s First ‘Daredevil’ Trailer

“I’m just trying to make my city a better place.” Sounds an awful lot like Arrow if you ask me. I know litterally nothing about the comic book series this Netflix original TV show will be based on (as is usually the case with comic book properties), but this is Marvel we’re talking about so hopefully it will be good.

The entire series will be available to binge watch on April 10 for Netflix subscribers.

‘Heroes Reborn’ Super Bowl Spot

‘Heroes Reborn’ Super Bowl Spot

I haven’t posted every single Super Bowl trailer because some of them did absolutely nothing at all for me (such as the Minions trailer, or the Pixar Inside Out trailer). But while this trailer doesn’t really do a lot for me, it actually worked better than the two parenthetical I mentioned. I loved the original run of Heroes all the way through. There were times of frustration, yes (what TV show doesn’t have those?), but it was a pretty great show over all. And while I think this reboot or restart — or whatever it is — is likely to fail and be awful, I can’t help but be a little bit excited…

J.K. Rowling’s ‘The Casual Vacancy’ Gets a BBC Miniseries with First Trailer

J.K. Rowling’s ‘The Casual Vacancy’ Gets a BBC Miniseries with First Trailer

Forgive me J.K. Rowling fans, I have let you down. Though the Harry Potter series may just be my favorite fantasy series, I know nothing at all about J.K. Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy. It’s a shame, I suppose, because — at least from what I know of her Harry Potter series, I consider Rowling to be one of the best modern writers of our time. I have no doubt that The Casual Vacancy is good, but I know nothing about it.

Now maybe I’ll at least learn about it through this BBC series — though if it’s anything like the relationship between the Harry Potter books and films, the live action drama…

Fox Is Working on a ‘Minority Report’ Sequel in the Form of a TV Pilot

Fox Is Working on a ‘Minority Report’ Sequel in the Form of a TV Pilot
TOR.com

Fox is prepping a Minority Report TV pilot, intended as a sequel to the 2002 film starring Tom Cruise. However, don’t expect to see Cruise or his character John Anderton, as the pilot is set 10 years after the movie and will focus on one of the “precogs” from the film. In fact, Fox hasn’t announced casting at all, but it has signed on a director: Mark Mylod, known for ABC’sOnce Upon a Time and Showtime’s Golden Globe-winning The Affair.

Mylod, who handled the pilots for Once and The Affair, will direct a script byGodzilla writer Max Borenstein, with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment…

Fox May Bring Back ‘X-Files’

Fox May Bring Back ‘X-Files’
Russ Fischer — /Film

Talk of a third X-Files movie has cropped up often in the past few years, but now it seems like a new TV installment might be more likely than anything else. Fox execs have revealed that they are pursuing an X-Files return — ideally with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

That’s fine and I’d probably watch it — I’ve watched a few episodes and it looked like something I could get in to, but then I got busy and was not able to really get in the groove — but you know what I’d really like to see Fox bring back? Fringe. I miss…

‘The Expanse’ Trailer — Upcoming 10 Episode TV Show on SyFy Channel

‘The Expanse’ Trailer — Upcoming 10 Episode TV Show on SyFy Channel

SyFy (the channel) has been making moves to bring back sci-fi (the genre) on their channel. I’m skeptical because I’ve been burned more than once by this channel. They had their genre in their stupid name for crying out loud and they blew it. Fool me once and all that.

But, I’m a sucker for good sci-fi, and this series looks like it has the possibility to be that.

As far as I can tell, there’s no exact release date. All that we have right now is that it’s coming some time this year.

‘Bosch’ — Amazon Studios’ Upcoming Crime Drama

‘Bosch’ — Amazon Studios’ Upcoming Crime Drama

These instant delivery content providers are really jumping into the game with both feet. I have to admit that their previous offering — the one that’s winning so many awards — Transparent, did not look at all appealing to me. Just not my thing.

I don’t know that a crime drama is really my thing either, but it looks much more appealing to me and I might give it a shot.

The show is set in Los Angeles and follows homicide detective Harry Bosch. His mother was a prostitute and was murdered when Harry was a boy. This of course has ramifications for the type of man he is as we see him in the…

‘iZombie’ Trailer — An Undead Veronica Mars?

‘iZombie’ Trailer — An Undead Veronica Mars?

There are some people who make stuff and you just don’t ask questions. The only work I have seen of Rob Thomas’ is the TV series and crowd funded film Veronica Mars, but I am so there. If he can create anything with even a little bit of the creativity and fun of Veronica Mars we should be good to go.

This particular creative Endeavour from Thomas looks pretty weird, and I am so looking forward to it. I don’t typically go for all the zombie stuff, but this looks like quite the fun and creative twist on the concept. It reminds me at least a little of what Joss Whedon did with the Vampire…

‘House of Cards’ Season 3 Official Trailer

‘House of Cards’ Season 3 Official Trailer

Get ready for the most cinematic event on TV, that’s not even “on TV” (if you think TV is the broadcast stuff). Season 3 of House of Cards is only a little over one month away. The new season will debut on February 27, and if the first two seasons are any indication, all of season 3 will be available for streaming in it’s entirety on that day, causing hundreds of thousands of viewers around the U.S. to lose all of their sleep that night binge watching.

The line between TV and cinema has been, in some quarters, becoming blurred. Yes, there’s plenty of TV out there that is not cinematic in the…
