Wow, “All Good Things…” is 20-years old. It’s still a shining example of what Trek in the mid-90’s could be. It’s quite telling that Brannon Braga and Ron D. Moore excitedly hammered out this loving wrap-up to Next Gen in a matter of days, while with Generations they spent much more time on it, fretting about the motion picture debut of the TNG crew, and it is hardly the unanimous success that “All Good Things…” is.

Showrunner Bruce Heller revealed that a “prenatal Robin” storyline is in the works for Gotham. Also coming in a future episode is the return of the pint-sized Poison Ivy — though her BFF Harley Quinn will be sitting this season out.

Speaking to EW, Heller revealed his approach to Robin. “We’re going to do a prenatal origin story for Robin down the line,” Heller said. “There are no MRIs involved. There’s an episode coming up where we learn how Robin’s parents got together.”

The trailer premiere for Avengers: Age of Ultron was originally set to take place during the October 28 episode of Agents of SHIELD. A bootleg leak of the trailer changed that, and Marvel was smart enough to respond to the leak with an official trailer release. So what does that mean for next week’s episode of SHIELD?

Supergirl is coming to CBS. The network has just landed the DC Comics adaptation, which is being executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Arrow) and Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family).

The pickup means that, if all goes well, four of the five broadcast networks will airing shows based on DC characters next season. The fifth, ABC, will still be in the costumed-hero game, with Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.

It’s that time again: time for me to write up a post about the latest addition to Star Trek remastered. But this time, it’s the final season of my favorite overall Star Trek series. The remastering of The Next Generation will now be complete. And as usual, there will also be a stand-alone release. It became quite a common thing to have two parters throughout TNG’s run, and often, they make great feature length “films”. I really loved the trend for two parters — it foreshadowed what was to come in DS9, with full season and even show arcs. While we (regrettably) never got season arcs with TNG,…

I know a lot of you didn’t like the show, but I certainly did. And I’m quite looking forward to season 2. And if you didn’t like the show, you may be interested in tuning in to season 2 because it does look like they’re changing the tone a bit. Season 2 looks to me like it will be darker. It makes sense given where The Winter Soldier and the episodes of Agents of SHIELD that were after The Winter Soldier left the universe. Yes, Guardians of the Galaxy is technically in this same universe and it was a lot of goofy fun. But it’s pretty disconnected from what else is going on in the universe…
