Five Clips from Upcoming Les Misérables

Five Clips from Upcoming Les Misérables

We’re in the home stretch for the Les Mis promotion campaign now. Here are five recently released clips from the upcoming film — the biggest taste we have had so far.

I don’t know if a full on music production is going to be my thing or not, but my wife is a big fan and she’s super excited to see it in theater this Christmas. And I’m certainly looking forward to seeing it as well in any event.

Enjoy the teaser:

‘Jack Reacher’ Featurette

‘Jack Reacher’ Featurette

Jack Reacher, the upcoming film adaptation of the book by Lee Child starring Tom Cruise, is coming to theaters December 21. That’s less than a month away. As such we can expect to start seeing a lot of stuff like this.

I’m excited about this film so I’ll be keeping my eyes open for more.

How ‘Looper’ Should Have Ended

How ‘Looper’ Should Have Ended

The guys over at How It Should Have Ended have done it again. They think perhaps Looper should have ended differently than it did.

Also, there might be some other time-traveling guests in this epsiode.

Have fun!

Well that sword looks familiar! In this clip Gandalf (Ian McKellan) entrusts Bilbo (Martin Freeman) with the sword that glows blue when orcs are around, which Bilbo later names Sting.

Here’s another behind the scenes video from the upcoming Blu-ray release of The Dark Knight Rises talking about the scene where Bane blows up a football stadium.

Personally, more than the special features, I can’t wait to sit down and watch all three films back to back… okay, maybe not in one sitting or anything, but perhaps 3 nights.

Here’s the special feature:

“They actually built a cornucopia in Atlanta that we shot at, and it looks amazing, and the way that the spokes got out, and the way everyone comes up on the pedestals and the water — it looks incredible,” he gushed. “I’ve seen some of the CG renderings that [director] Francis [Lawrence] has worked on, and they look really, really great.”

But the morsel fans will savor most is what Hutcherson had to say about the portions being filmed in IMAX.

I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to this film. Here’s the video of Josh Hutcherson from the link:

Reed Hastings says that, one day, Amazon will provide real competition for Netflix.

But the Netflix CEO says Jeff Bezos will have to spend a lot of money before that happens: Hastings says Amazon is losing between $500 million and a $1 billion a year as it acquires streaming video content rights.

Hastings says he generated those numbers based on the value of the content deals that Amazon won when the two companies competed head to head. He says he thinks Amazon’s costs are split evenly between its U.S. operations and Europe, where it operates the Lovefilm streaming service.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Catwoman Featurette

The Dark Knight Rises comes to home entertainment December 4th, and the PR machine has been going non-stop to get us excited about it. One such effort is this excerpt from a featurette about Catwoman and her fighting style and how Anne Hathaway played the role of Selina Kyle.

Check it out here and get your appetite whet for that release.

‘The Hobbit’ Production Video

Want a look at what’s going on only a couple weeks from the premiere? Peter Jackson and Warner Bros. have obliged and have this little 15 minute gem. It is incredibly fun to watch and see a few aspects of what goes on behind the scenes with a big production like this. There are so many moving parts it’s hard to keep them all straight.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey premieres here in the U.S. on December 14 and you can bet I’ll be in my seat at the theater at my earliest opportunity. Until then, enjoy:
