J.J. and Lucas Haven’t Spoken Yet

J.J. and Lucas Haven’t Spoken Yet

I have not spoken to J.J. He’s been busy with Star Trek, and I’m sure that he’ll let me know when he’s got some questions. So, you know, that’s all going well. Kathy tells me it’s working out great.

Not that Lucas minds all that much. “I think it’s great,” he said of passing on the torch. “I don’t have to worry about these guys any more.”

And unfortunately, I think it’s great to keep Lucas out of it at this point. He’s done enough damage to his franchise, let’s just keep his mitts off of it and it should be a lot better than anything we saw of the prequels.

Plus, I think Lucas’ comment, “I don’t have to worry about these guys any more.” is quite telling. He just doesn’t care about the franchise at this point. He’s done with it. He threw his sand around on his side of the sandbox — he built a beautiful sand castle, populated with people we loved, then he proceeded to flatten said castle right in front of us. We all wept and stamped our feet, but we’ve all moved on now and we’d like to see what J.J. has in store for us.
