‘Agents of SHIELD’ Season 1 — What to Look Forward To

When “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” returns from its mini-hiatus on Feb. 4, expect for the series to go “full throttle” as it airs its final nine episodes of Season 1. According to showrunners Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon, the focus of the show gets a lot tighter for the back half of the series’ first season.

Zap2it recently visited the set of “Agents of SHIELD” and spoke to the two showrunners as well as a number of the cast members about what’s in store. Here’s some teases about what’s coming up for the end of Season 1 and beyond.

I don’t care what anyone says, I love this show. And if I sound a little defensive about that it’s because everyone seems to hate it for reasons they cannot explain to me.

There will be an Asgardian language barrier. “The language barriers, it was really fun to write,” Whedon says of conversations between the SHIELD team and Lady Sif. Tancharoen adds, “And seeing how she will take something literally. If Coulson will throw a line at her, she actually does the literal version of that physically.”

Come on guys, does that not sound fun?

The showrunners know the answers to the big questions. The problem with many mystery-heavy TV shows is that they propose questions that the creators don’t have the answers to. Not so with “Agents of SHIELD.” “We do know,” Tancharoen says with a smile. “We know everything.”

YES! Now see, this is some really good news. Too many shows go off half cocked and don’t know how to get where they are going because they don’t know where they care going. COUGHBattlestar GalacticaCOUGH
