Rule number one, always be kind, polite, and courteous in interviews about a film you would like to promote if you don’t want to be considered a moron like Quentin Tarantino.
Okay, so he may not have come off that bad, but this interview does not make him look very good, and certainly not gracious. You’ve got to know that anchors like Emily Maitlis have a lot of stuff to go through. She may have been given talking points about the film, she may or may not have seen the film, Jonze has no way of knowing. So getting prickly because she’s asking the wrong, or to him slightly misleading questions about the film doesn’t do anyone any good and certainly doesn’t place him in a very good light.
