This is definitely one of those super emotional teen drama films in the same vein as The Fault In Our Stars, although somehow this one looks like it may be slightly easier to stomach. There are certain things about stories like this that can tend to resonate with us in our human condition. I often find that stories that have tough choices, sad events, and challenging circumstances make for some of the best and most impactful films. I think this is because we can identify with this even if our lives are pretty good. We know from little experience, and for some of us, big experiences that tragic and bad things happen in life. That’s why this film and others like it can often hold at least something of intrigue for us.
I don’t know whether this will be a good film or not, but I don’t plan to write it off just yet as just another emotional teen drama.
