NBC has given Revolution, Go On and The New Normal a giant vote of confidence, giving all three freshman shows full-season orders.

I have to admit I have not yet been very aware of this film or paid much attention until I saw this clip. But I think I may be interested now. First here’s the official synopsis from the Apple Trailers page:

“Shakespeare in the park” was a line that Whedon threw to Downey on the day of filming. Downey then ad-libbed “Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?” Similarly, the shawarma aside came up when he asked Whedon for more material following his revival. The director gave him a few options, shawarma among them, which Downey then took and ran with to its glorious conclusion. Saying that the arc reactor was a “terrible privilege” was also an addition of his that Whedon loved.

Just exactly what Cloud Atlas is really about is anyone’s guess at this point. The trailers have all been both intriguing, and confusing as to the actual plot. It appears to have six different threads running through the film that will be in some manner weaved together. I’m picking up a strong Hindu vibe, but this isn’t really surprising since the previous well known film trilogy by the Wachowskis started heading majorly in this direction in the second installment. I have a feeling this is really going to annoy me, but perhaps, if done right, a fanciful world can be created that won’t annoy…

While Iron Man is in North Carolina and Thor  is across the pond in London, England, Captain America is sticking with his Avenger roots and filming in Ohio. Captain America: The Winter Soldier, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, will be filming about 40% of its entirety in and around Cleveland, Ohio. That’s the same place Joss Whedon used to double as New York for most of the final battle in The Avengers, suggesting Cap’s story will stay in New York and keep visual Marvel continuity. Understand that I am not posting this because it looks good. I have no intention of seeing this. I’m posting this because of just how ludicrous and hilarious this trailer looks.

Also, it’s actually kind of amazing just how good you can make a low budget B movie look these days.
