Pete Holmes Identifies Some Problems with ‘Wolverine’

Pete Holmes Identifies Some Problems with ‘Wolverine’

So, some minor language, and some finger action at the end, but completely hillarious. When you think about it, Wolverine can be quite the liability sometimes. It’s a wonder they let him stay on the team. Although, technically, I guess he’s not really on the team at the moment… unless you stayed for the end credits of the last Wolverine film.

Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill Behind the Scenes of ‘Jedi’

Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill Behind the Scenes of ‘Jedi’
Dalton Ross - Entertainment Weekly

In the video below shot on April 12, 1982 during filming on Return of the Jedi, we see Han Solo (Harrison Ford) calling Jabba the Hutt out as a “slimy piece of worm-eating filth” (a slight variation on the “worm-ridden filth” line from the film) while Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) warns the Hutt to “free us or die” as crew members look on. Reading Jabba’s lines are none other than ROTJ director Richard Marquand, who also shouts out orders to stuntman Dicky Beer, who plays Jabba’s skiff guard Barada. The scene ends with everyone — cast and crew — looking off and marveling at something in the…

Anthony Daniels as C-3PO to be in ‘Star Wars VII’?

Anthony Daniels as C-3PO to be in ‘Star Wars VII’?
Sean O’Connell - Cinema Blend

Did Anthony Daniels just open up J.J. Abrams’ infamous Mystery Box?

The original C-3PO appeared at the New York Comic Con recently to host a spotlight panel that he promised would NOT divulge any new Star Wars: Episode VII secrets. And he almost made it through the entire session without revealing what might be a spoiler. Or might not be. You have to be the judge.

“Walls have ears. And we know what they look like. They’re very big ears,” Daniels joked to the gathered crowd, referring to Mickey Mouse’s signature ears.

Still, after being baited by an audience member about how important…

Stan Lee Want Cameo in ‘Man of Steel’ Sequel

Stan Lee Want Cameo in ‘Man of Steel’ Sequel
Graeme McMillan - The Hollywood Reporter

You might have thought that the prospect of the first live-action meeting between Superman and Batman would be enough to propel Batman vs. Superman —apparently the working title of the follow-up to this summer’sMan of Steel —to box-office success. Just in case that alone isn’t enough, however, Stan Lee has an idea to guarantee the movie’s success: Give him a cameo.

“I’ll show you why DC isn’t so smart,” he told fans at the recent Wizard World Nashville Comic Con in a moment of tongue-in-cheek ego gone wild. “If I were the head of DC, I would contact me and say, ‘How about doing a cameo in…

Michael Bay Assaulted On ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Set

Michael Bay Assaulted On ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Set
Matt Goldberg - Collider.com

Here’s something Michael Bay can get asked endlessly about when he does press for Transformers: Age of Extinction.  According to THR, the director was attacked on the Hong Kong set by two local men, reportedly brothers, when he refused to pay them $13,000 (U.S.).  Bay don’t play that way, and an argument ensued in which the director got punched in the face.  One of the men then tried to fight off three police officers who intervened.  The brothers were then arrested on suspicion of blackmail and assault (I’m pretty sure we can at least confirm the suspicion of assault).  Bay then resumed…

Stan Lee’s Rant on 3D Movies

Stan Lee’s Rant on 3D Movies

If you don’t like 3D movies (oh hi), then you are, apparently in good company — that is, if this rant of his is to be believed. Stan would like for 3D movies to go away, and get off his lawn!!!

This seems a bit tongue in cheek but I enjoyed it.

Original ‘Empire Strikes Back’ Trailer

Original ‘Empire Strikes Back’ Trailer

Oh, hey there. While we’re anxiously waiting for JJ Abrams to decend upon us with the goodness that we presume he will bestow upon us through the next entry into the Star Wars franchise, the official Star Wars YouTube account has given us a little bit of a goody by way of the original trailer for The Empire Strikes Back — by far my favorite Star Wars film to date. But I’ll tell you, man were the trailers bad back in those days. I mean the trailer is just awful. If I were to see anything remotely like this trailer now, I would stay very far away from this film. My how times change.

Check it…

Alamo Drafthouse Bans Madonna

Alamo Drafthouse Bans Madonna
Edward Davis - The Playlist

OK so this is kinda rich and you may have heard this story already, but in case you haven’t, well, the irony is just too delicious to pass up. Last week during the New York Film Festival, Madonna was caught texting during Steve McQueen’s “12 Years A Slave.” A painful, brutal, unflinching film about the horrors of slavery starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt and many more. When one audience member called out the Material Girl and asked politely to please stop texting, she had the gall to yell at the person and call them a particular type of 19thcentury tyrant. “It’s for…

Harrison Ford and Benedict Cumberbatch - Video (Star Wars)

Harrison Ford and Benedict Cumberbatch - Video (Star Wars)

So, speaking of Star Wars, recently, Harrison Ford and Benedict Cumberbatch were both asked about Star Wars, and of course they both played it coy. There’s litterally no new information here, but I thought it was fantastic and funny and well worth watching. Harrison Ford is playing all this up for all it’s worth and it’s hillarious to watch. Ford won’t even confirm that he’s in the film, but we all know that he is.

I will say that this point I think we will see Benedict Cumberbatch in the film in some capacity.

‘Agens of SHIELD’ Gets Full Season

‘Agens of SHIELD’ Gets Full Season
Germain Lussier - /Film

The “back-nine” either refers to the second half in a round of golf, or the nine additional episodes a network TV show gets once it shows staying power. And since this isn’t a golf website, it must mean Marvel Studio’s first TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., just got a full season pickup for nine more episodes. The back-nine, as it were.

After debuting to stellar numbers, the show has dipped in subsequent weeks, but with competition from two of TV’s most popular shows – NCIS and The Voice -  ABC felt confident enough to renew the show for a full season. We’ll be seeing a lot more of Agent…
