‘Return of the Jedi’ Deleted Scene Resurfaces

‘Return of the Jedi’ Deleted Scene Resurfaces

This is an interesting deleted scene that I’ve never seen before and it’s too bad that it got cut. As it stands, Return of the Jedi is my least favorite film in the original trilogy. While it’s still good, and still watchable, there are signs of where Lucas would ultimately head. Silliness and simplicity were the name of the game with this film. And cutting meaty scenes like this didn’t help. Had this and probably many other more heave and weighty scene remained in the film, I think it would have been far better of for it.

You see in this deleted scene, Yoda tells Luke about how he and…

Jar Jar Dies…

Jar Jar Dies…

Alright, lets establish something right up front before I share this video with you: There are only three Star Wars films. Three!

Ahh, but that said, George Lucas did make some other films that masquerade as Star Wars films. While I consider Episodes II and III to be at least watchable, Episode I is a real complete and total mess. Much of that can be blamed on Jar Jar. I’d say maybe even a good 50% of the badness of that first prequel can be blamed on Jar Jar actually now that I think of it — or at least the thinking and filmmaking behind the film that led to the inclusion and stupidity of…

‘Agents of SHIELD’ Episode 7 ‘The Hub’ Trailer

‘Agents of SHIELD’ Episode 7 ‘The Hub’ Trailer

I know we’re all about movies and stuff here at MovieByte, but I’m really enjoying Agents of SHIELD. And while this trailer for next week’s epside doesn’t tell us much, it’s always fun to try to dicipher some little tidbit or other.

I don’t know what’s up with the trailer playing twice in this YouTube version, but check it out:

‘Les Miserabublbles’ — The Honest Trailer

‘Les Miserabublbles’ — The Honest Trailer

I admit it, I enjoyed Les Miserables far more than I thought I would. But I think I may have enjoyed the Honest Trailer even more. I mean seriously, why must we sing our way through the entire film? I know, I know, I’m uncultured or whatever.

But this is great:

New 3-Minute Trailer for ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’

New 3-Minute Trailer for ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’

This is quite obviously the best trailer we have seen for this film so far. In fact, I would say it’s the best trailer we’ve seen in The Hobbit series thus far. It almost makes me look forward to this film — almost.

As you all will know, I’m of two minds about this. The geek/nerd (or whatever) in me is looking forward to this film because I can’t help it. On the other hand, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first film in this franchise of 3 based off one book, was a bloated and tangled mess with way too much fat that needed trimming for my taste.

Still, Peter Jackson cuts together a…

‘Catching Fire’ TV Spot Set to Christina Aguilera Song

‘Catching Fire’ TV Spot Set to Christina Aguilera Song

So, if Christina Aguilera is your thing, I suppose you’ll enjoy this trailer. If she’s not, well, you’ll probably still enjoy the trailer — unless you don’t like The Hunger Games. In which case, you probably did not click through to this article and you probably aren’t reading and/or watching anyway.

We’re getting might close to the release of this second installment now and I’m ready, I’m excited. I’m somewhat worried given some of the things that I’ve heard about the film recently, but I’m still hopeful. I loved the first film, and I’m hoping to like this one as well.

‘The Lego Movie’ — Trailer 2

‘The Lego Movie’ — Trailer 2

I have to admit, I wasn’t sold on this movie at first. But I’m starting to get into the mood for it. Now who knows, maybe they’ve put all the jokes in the trailer and this will be a dud, but it looks to be a completely hillarious and fun movie. Now if they can find just enough seriousness to pull off a decent plot everything will be good!

Check out the trailer, it’s a lot of fun. The Lego Movie will be in theaters on Februrary 14, 2014.

‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Trailer 2

‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Trailer 2

I must make a confession: I have only seen one Martin Scorsese film — I absolutely loved it. That would be the Robert De Niro and Ray Liotta staring Goodfellas. Having loved that film so much, it seems a crime to me that I have not been exposed to more of his film. I therefore fully intend to see this film even though the trailers have not gotten me super pumped just yet. I’m actually not sure what I would have thought about a Goodfellas trailer before I had seen the film but I’m guessing about the same way I feel about The Wolf of Wall Street at this point: meh. So I’m willing to give this…

‘Back to the Future’ Improv

‘Back to the Future’ Improv

Are you a Back to the Future fan? (Chad is going to love this). Well have I got just the thing for you! Back to the Future street improv. Yeah, it’s cheesy and poorly acted, but who cares, right? It’s just good plain fun.

The Honest Trailer You’ve Been Waiting For! ‘Thor’

The Honest Trailer You’ve Been Waiting For! ‘Thor’

I sure do love Honest Trailers. They’re always varying degrees of good, hardly ever bad. While this one falls somwhere in the middle one the good scale, it’s still pretty good. And yeah, I knew I couldn’t be the only person in the whole road having flashes of the dreaded Rainbow Road from Mario Kart whenver they showed the Rainbow Bridge in Thor.

Thor was easily my least favorite of the pre-Avengers Marvel films which makes this trailer work even better.
