Favorite Fun Futon Films for February

Alright guys, I know we said we were going to talk about The Wrath of Kahn on this week’s episode of The MovieByte Podcast, but we’re changing it up a little. From my conversations with Joe, I am not at all convinced that I will be satisfied with an episode talking about that film with only Joe and myself.

I am trying to lock down a guest that I think may help me out a little for such an awesome film and once I have him we’ll do a Wrath of Kahn episode then. It will probably be a special insert episode and will broadcast live at a different time so keep your eyes open for that.

Pull Up a Futon!

Now as to the title (always avoid alliteration, aye?), if you subscribe to and read our email newsletter (subscribe in the sidebar if you have not done so but would like to receive the newsletter), you already know from the latest installment that we’re calling this month’s run of podcasts Favorite Fun Futon Films for February. And the reason is because we are not all that excited about the films in theaters. Joe and I may see some here and there and even mention them on the podcast, but instead of focusing on these lackluster films, we’re going to talk about some favorites.

Star Wars

Tomorrow night, we’ll be talking about the original Star Wars! You won’t want to miss it! Be sure to tune in live tomorrow night at 6:30 Central time (or 7:30 eastern since I know we have quite a few Eastern time dwellers). And make sure to let your friends know! One of the things we want to do is start getting a lot of live listeners to add an even more interactive dynamic to the podcast. Only you can help us get there! Make sure your friends are tuning in to listen. Of course also live “time-shifted” listeners. Quite honestly it’s how I listen to most podcasts. I may tune in live over at 5by5 when I have the opportunity, but the majority of my podcasts are listened to after they go live in the feed. So be sure to let your friends know about our podcast here on the site and in iTunes as well!

You can always see what’s coming up on our schedule page, but here is our general schedule for the month so that you can get excited about what’s in the pipeline:
