Somehow I missed the first trailer for this film, but this second trailer looks quite amazing. Of course I thought there was a chance that the Wachowskis previous film, Cloud Atlas was going to be good too and it was instead quite terrible. But there is an entirely different vibe to this film. This one just feels like an epic, sci-fi adventure — and it looks like a doggone good one at that.
And you know what else is refreshing about this film? As far as I know it is not based on anything — it’s an original screen play. In a world filled with nothing but sequels and prequels that is such a breath of fresh air. Make no mistake my friends, I could be entirely deceived about the merits of this film because this trailer appears to have been tailer made to my tastes in sci-fi/fantasy epics, but I think this may be a good one. Remember that their last original concept, The Matrix, was a pretty good film. So I’m hopeful for this.
