New ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Trailer

New ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Trailer

Rebbots are the thing right now. Every studio is rummaging around in their chest of wonders for something to bring back tot he screen. Who needs original content anymore? We’ve got things to reboot. To be sure, some of the reboots have made me very happy, and some, not so much.

I am quite certain this one will dissapoint me, but that’s not because I have some affinity for the Turtles. Indeed, I can barely remember the cartoon and I’ve never seen the movie. No, I have little confidence in this film because Michael Bay is involved and I haven’t like much of anything he’s ever been invovled… Read The Rest

Young Mystique Has Her Fighting Style Down in Clip from ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’

Young Mystique Has Her Fighting Style Down in Clip from ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’

Bolivar Trask has a defense against the mutants, and apparnetly a way to detect them as well. But that doesn’t do him much good in this clip — Mystique is quite as good a fighter as she’s ever been and she takes a few people out. And this is exactly what I would expect to see from Bryan Singer. He loved these Mystique scenes and it’s choreographed the way I remember from the original X-Men films. It’s great stuff and I can’t way for the film to arrive on the 23rd!

Our Best Look at ‘Godzilla’ Yet

Our Best Look at ‘Godzilla’ Yet

They’ve slowly and oh so carefully been giving us a peak at Godzilla, but the latest trailer opens up the kimono just a little bit wider and we get a pretty good look at this terror inspiring monster.

I’ve been known to be pretty skeptical of pure monster movies — I thought that Pacific Rim looked like a silly monster fest, and I was wrong about that one. So I’m going to assume that maybe this could be good. And I freely admit to not knowing much about Godzilla in the first place. So I’m looking forward to getting into it. And the release date is right upon us since it comes to theaters on…

How ‘The LEGO Movie’ Should Have Ended

How ‘The LEGO Movie’ Should Have Ended

I loved The LEGO Movie... like, a lot! But that doesn’t mean it is beyond criticism. One of the irritations was indeed the fact that LEGO Superman was stopped by gum! I mean, really!

But beyond that, it’s always fun to see Superman and Batman kickin’ it at the Super Cafe in the HISHE episodes. It’s almost like they are parodying themselves now, and I find that fun.

Honest Trailer for the Real (and only) ‘Spider-Man’ Trilogy

Honest Trailer for the Real (and only) ‘Spider-Man’ Trilogy

Blah blah blah before the HIPSTER reboot blah blah blah. I mean, so much YES!

I love Honest Trailers even if they are about films I love. I loved the original Spider-Man trilogy, and yes I even loved the third one even if it wasn’t quite up to the same level. But pointing out the flaws or perceived flaws is fun.

What Happened to What to See?

What Happened to What to See?

Just a quick note: at times I’m still trying to figure out both what this site is, and what you guys like about the site. My what to see articles every Friday have pretty much gotten the worst amount of traffic (although they would occasionally spark some interesting and/or frustrating discussion). They take me quite a bit of time to do, and there are other sites that do it better. Indeed the information I use comes from Fandango anyway. And most people probably use an app on their phone to find out what’s playing and what they want to see about five minutes before they do.

So for at least…

Who is Daisy Ridley? (‘Star Wars VII’ Casting News)

Who is Daisy Ridley? (‘Star Wars VII’ Casting News)
Josh Dickey — Mashable

Daisy Ridley is a 5-foot-7 jazz singer, dancer and strong swimmer with dark hair, a native London accent, and a few minor television credits she gathered over the past year. She’s in her early 20s, and used to go by @daisyjazz on Twitter — before the account was disabled.

That’s about all we know about the lone “unknown” member of the Star Wars VII cast. Other than that she’s about to become very, very famous.

In the hours after Disney and Lucasfilm’s big casting announcement, Ridley’s acting reel was pulled down from Vimeo. She has no Wikipedia page; no photos on Getty Images (jeez, even

The Talented Bob Hoskins Acting on Blue Screen for ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’

The Talented Bob Hoskins Acting on Blue Screen for ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’

While it’s not entirely out of the ordinary for someone to pass away at the age of 70, it can still be a pretty sad event and my sympathies go out to his family. We have indeed lost a great actor.

If you want to see just how great we’re talking about here, this video of him acting at a sequence from Who Framed Roger Rabbit with nothing but blue screen around him should give you a pretty good idea of what he was capable of. I just don’t know how he did it.
