‘Monsters University’ Full Length Trailer

‘Monsters University’ Full Length Trailer

Here you go:

Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an…

‘Wreck-it Ralph’ Credits Sequence (no really! this is fun!)

‘Wreck-it Ralph’ Credits Sequence (no really! this is fun!)

Look, I would normally never post a film’s credit sequence. I mean, how boring and droll, right? But Wreck-it Ralph has some special, heart warming — well, for geeks like me — credits. Lots of fun stuff going on here, a few laughs, some 8 bit nostalgia, the works. Plus, you know, OWL CITY!

Give it a watch, you’ll be glad you did.

‘Les Mis’ Blu-ray Release Date

‘Les Mis’ Blu-ray Release Date
Entertainment Weekly

Fans of the musical flocked to theaters to watch Hugh Jackman’s heroic Valjean joust with Russell Crowe’s devious Javert, to see Hathaway sing the heartbreaking “I Dreamed a Dream,” and to vicariously stand atop the barricades on the eve of France’s 1832 revolution. On March 22, the experience comes home when Les Misérables arrives on Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand.

There you go, March 22nd. If you click through to Entertainment Weekly, there’s also a trailer for the upcoming Blu-ray release that they have restricted so I can’t embed it here and I can’t find it anywhere else at the…

‘Jack The Giant Slayer’ Trailer #3

‘Jack The Giant Slayer’ Trailer #3

Seems like a day for trailers today. We’ve got a new one for Jack the Giant Slayer. I’m still intersted, and you know, Bryan Singer, he makes good films!

“Jack the Giant Slayer” tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult) into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave…

‘The Host’ - The Seeker (and other) Featurettes

‘The Host’ - The Seeker (and other) Featurettes

The marketing for the upcoming film based on the Stephanie Meyer novel, The Host, is starting to pick up some marketing steam. No doubt there will be a lot of built in fans of the The Twilight Saga that will automatically ensure this film’s initial success at the box office, but I also have to admit it does look intriguing.

Recently, the marketing machine has been releasing character featurettes of the various characters in the film. Here’s the latest one, as well as two previous featurettes below. The Host comes to theaters on March 29.

‘Monsters University’ Featurette

‘Monsters University’ Featurette

While we’re waiting on a full length trailer for Monsters University, I’ve got a little something to tide us over. Director Dan Scanlon hosts a featurette about the upcoming film with a look at some basic plot elements, and other fun stuff.

Returning to the film are John Goodman as James P. Sullivan, and Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski. It should be a lot of fun.

The Best of Both Worlds on Blu-ray

The Best of Both Worlds on Blu-ray

One of the best, or certainly one of the most well known episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation is The Best of Both Worlds, parts 1 and 2. Who could forget Locutus of Borg? And for the time, the special effects were outstanding. And man that cliffhanger. I remember it quite well. In my then eight year old mind, I just knew Captain Picard was done for.

Well, now we get to enjoy the two parter episode turned into one single feature in HD on Blu-ray. It’s pretty awesome stuff and here’s the trailer:

What to see: Weekend of Feb 8, 2013

The offerings at the box office this time of year may be a bit tepid, but we’re still here to tell you what might possibly be interesting to you. So here’s your guide to the box office this weekend. Buckle up though, with all the (lack of) excitement here at this weekend’s box office, your (not) going to need to hang on to your socks!!!!!1!!!!!

New This Weekend

Identity Thief - R
This actually looks like it might be fun. I don’t know for sure, it could be so over the top as to cross the line from fun to tedious. Still, I don’t expect it to be any more than a three star film at…

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope — Review

5 of 5 stars
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

In keeping with the theme of Favorite Fun Futon Films for February (FFFFfF), we are reviewing classics — old and new — that ring true for us. These are carefully selected from the grand archives of film, and we wish to respectfully grace them with our reviews as fans.

We could write about any number of favorite films for home viewing, but a month isn’t long enough to hit more than a handful. We are focusing on the ones we have time to address thoroughly at the risk of appearing like nutty fans for these films. But, hey, if you aren’t nutty about something, then you have never lived!

So…
