‘Walk of Shame’ Trailer Featuring Elizabeth Banks

‘Walk of Shame’ Trailer Featuring Elizabeth Banks

I can’t say this looks great — in fact it looks really silly and crazy I think. The idea here is the Banks character goes on a crazy night, has a one night stand, then gets a call from the network about an opportunity for a big news anchor gig. But when she runs out to her car it’s being towed and (for whatever reason) it has her purse in it and she has no way to get where she needs to go and no ID. Hillarity (apparently) ensues.

I like Elizabeth Banks but I’m just not sure about this thing. We’ll have to see what’s in store for us when the film is released to theaters on April 25th.

Scarlett Johansson on ‘The Avengers: The Age of Ultron’ Script

Scarlett Johansson on ‘The Avengers: The Age of Ultron’ Script
JoBlo

“Well, we can expect the Avengers. Joss [Whedon], again, is back, wrote the script, and is directing. I think the script is dark and it’s dry, it’s got this amazing one-liner, glass-cutting sense of humor. Obviously the script is very cerebral. It doesn’t lose that exciting comic book aspect that people enjoyed in the first film, but it’s smart and it feels like the next installment. It doesn’t feel like a rehashing, it feels like these characters are moving forward, plotlines are moving forward. It’s deep and I think that’s why people really respond to the Marvel universe, because the films…

Saving Mr. Banks

Saving Mr. Banks

TJ is finally back for the new year and he’s bringing his review of ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ to you! All in all, Saving Mr. Banks is a charming film that you should see, even if it feels a bit like a Disney P.R. piece. But it’s okay because Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks, and Colin Farrell do a wonderful job of bringing the film to life.

Man Shot at Florida Theater for Texting

Man Shot at Florida Theater for Texting
Entertainment Weekly

Pasco County Sheriff’s officials say Reeves initially asked Oulson to stop texting at the theater in Wesley Chapel, a suburb about a half-hour north of downtown Tampa.

Sheriff’s Detective Allen Proctor wrote that Reeves spoke to Oulson during the movie previews, then got up from his seat and informed management.

When Reeves returned to his seat “additional words were exchanged” and Oulson threw a bag of popcorn at Reeves, the report said.

After officers read him his rights, Reeves told the detective that Oulson struck him in the face with an unknown object, and that’s when he removed a…

Surprising Musical Origins of the ‘Star Trek’ Theme Song

Surprising Musical Origins of the ‘Star Trek’ Theme Song

There must be some sort of rift in the space time continuum for something like this to occur! As a big fan of Star Trek I did find this fun and fascinating, although I believe you will too whether you are or not. Actually, even though I’m a fan of Star Trek, I’m not a huge fan of Alexander Courage’s main them. But I do like the part that plays over Shatner’s monolog very much. And that’s the part in play here. Check it out.

Gravity Returns to Theaters
Dave Trumbore — Colider.com

After winning a Golden Globe for Best Director, Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity will be returning to theaters this weekend. In case you missed the buzz-worthy sci-fi thriller, you’ll now be able to experience it on the big screen.  It’s no coincidence that the 86th Annual Academy Awards’ nominations list will be unveiled this Thursday either.  As Adam has expressed in his Oscar Beat column, Gravity, its director, and star Sandra Bullock will likely be up for some major awards.

That’s right folks, the best movie of 2013 is coming back to theaters because, well, it deserves it! If for some reason…

Unmake It Up

Unmake It Up

Join us for another edition of the adventures of Armond White! Watch as he makes a spectacle of himself and gets kicked out of the New York Film Critics Circle. See how TJ and Chad shed not one single tear! Seriously guys, he brought this on himself and he deserved it. Who’s crying. TJ and Chad certainly aren’t. In other news, ‘Catching Fire’ topped ‘Iron Man 3’ in the 2013 box office. That’s a fairly impressive feat. And oh yes, we have ‘Star Wars’ news and rumors (it’s such a very long way to 2015, sigh). You see, Disney is appointing a committee to oversee what official fits into the ‘Star Wars’ canon, and how. Plus, rumor has it that Episode VII will focus on Luke, Han, and Leia. And finally on the news front, ‘Gravity’ is returning to theaters so if you are a bad human being and did not see it the first time, you may crawl in shame to the nearest theater. And the primary review this week is ‘Saving Mr. Banks’.

Rumor that ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ Could Tie In to ‘Justice League’
Germain Lussier — /Film

A new rumor is circulating that could explain the number of superheroes potentially showing up in Batman vs. Superman. We know for sure Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman will be in the Zack Snyder sequel, set for release July 17, 2015. We’ve also heard wild rumors of other superheroes, such as Green Lantern, Flash and Aquaman, possibly popping up in the film. Whether those rumors are true or not, the addition of Wonder Woman alone has fans worried Snyder’s film will bite off more than it can chew.

Well the new rumor is Batman vs. Superman will end on a huge tease for a Justice League movie,…

Michael Douglas Will Play Hank Pym in Marvel’s ‘Ant Man’

Michael Douglas Will Play Hank Pym in Marvel’s ‘Ant Man’
Russ Fischer — /Film

Word has just hit that Michael Douglas, fresh from his Golden Globe win for Behind the Candelabra, will be in Edgar Wright‘s Ant-Man. He’ll be the first Ant-Man, Henry “Hank” Pym. That pegs Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, who becomes Ant-Man after stealing Pym’s tech.

Marvel confirms those details. (Variety, in a story that has since been changed, said Douglas is the villain in the film, without naming his character. That’s an interesting clash of info, but likely just an error on the trade’s part.)

Well okay then.
