‘Monsters University’ Featurette

‘Monsters University’ Featurette

While we’re waiting on a full length trailer for Monsters University, I’ve got a little something to tide us over. Director Dan Scanlon hosts a featurette about the upcoming film with a look at some basic plot elements, and other fun stuff.

Returning to the film are John Goodman as James P. Sullivan, and Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski. It should be a lot of fun.

The Best of Both Worlds on Blu-ray

The Best of Both Worlds on Blu-ray

One of the best, or certainly one of the most well known episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation is The Best of Both Worlds, parts 1 and 2. Who could forget Locutus of Borg? And for the time, the special effects were outstanding. And man that cliffhanger. I remember it quite well. In my then eight year old mind, I just knew Captain Picard was done for.

Well, now we get to enjoy the two parter episode turned into one single feature in HD on Blu-ray. It’s pretty awesome stuff and here’s the trailer:

‘Star Trek: Enterprise’ on Blu-ray Trailer

‘Star Trek: Enterprise’ on Blu-ray Trailer

Not my favorite Star Trek series by any means, in fact easily the worst. To top it off, the first season is absolutely terrible, mostly devoid of action, terrible plots, lack of interesting character dynamics, stupid gaffes that mess up Star Trek‘s timeline and more. Oh, and that theme music. BLEH! Whoever thought it was okay to use sudo pop music for a star trek theme should be FIRED!

But it is Star Trek, and I still like it better than a lot of TV trash out there.

Anyway, if you’re interested (and I don’t blame you if you aren’t), then here’s the trailer.

‘Iron Man 3’ “Extended” Look

‘Iron Man 3’ “Extended” Look

Hahahahahahahahaha!

Actually, as funny as this is, there is some good stuff here to see. I’m excited for this film, I think it will be better than the shambles that was Iron Man 2. I’m thinking there’s actually a good story to tell here with Tony Stark and the emotional aftermath of the events from The Avengers. The thing about Iron Man is that he started off as not so great of a guy, and that gives him a lot of places to go, to grow. It makes for great story.

Here’s your “extended” look:

Superbowl Trailers

Superbowl Trailers

It’s pretty safe to say that I hate sports. Well okay, some sports are tolerable when I’m the one doing the playing. But I cannot stand watching sports on TV, and I can barely stand watching most sports in person on the sidelines. I know that this puts in me in the bottom 10th of a group of less than 1% of the citizens of the United States of America, but I can’t help it. I just don’t like sports and never have.

But one good thing did come from the Super Bowl…

THE GODADDY COMMERCIAL!!!

Um, no. No that was just disgusting, wrong, and stupid! No, we got a whole bunch of trailers! And…

Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess Defy Gravity - Upside Down Trailer

Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess Defy Gravity - Upside Down Trailer

Color me impressed, this is an actual interesting concept that I have never, and probably would never have conceived of. Now, don’t think too hard about actual science as you read, look at the images, and watch the trailer, unless I’m mistaken it need not apply here.

And now, observe a screen shot from the trailer.

No, that image has not been flipped upside down, Kirsten Dunst’s world has. In Upside Down, Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess star in this sci-fi romance as a pair from two adjacent planets with opposite gravitational pulls who fall in love. But their laws forbid interaction…

‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ has Ninjas!

‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ has Ninjas!

I hope you like ninjas, because G.I. Joe: Retaliation is going to have lots of them if this spot is to be any indication.

The spot finally gets around to showing us some other action from Dwayne Johnson, and yes, Bruce Willis. Also apparently, we’ll be getting a four minute preview of the film in front of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. A reason to go see Hansel & Gretel for the skeptical perhaps (such as Joe).

This film drops on March 29th.
