‘Heroes United’ Animated Iron Man and Hulk

‘Heroes United’ Animated Iron Man and Hulk
Entertainment Weekly

A new trailer for the project shows the two crimefighters battling a horde of superpowered mandroids. “Maybe I shouldn’t have built so many mandroids!” says Iron Man. “Ya think?!?!” says Hulk. (They’re such good friends!) Iron Man is voiced by Adrian Pasdar (Heroes Nathan Petrelli), while Fred Tatasciore will one again voice the big green guy.

I’m not a big fan of animated films like this, and this looks really awful to me. But I don’t think less of people who are fans of animated films like this (at least not too much less). So if you are interested, here is the trailer.

So James Bond apparently corners Javier Barden’s Raoul Silva but appearances can be deceiving. Silva blows a hole in the roof, to which Bond says, “I do hope that wasn’t for me.” “No,” says Silva, “but that is.” Cue the train.

Christoph Waltz better get used to people wanting to touch his head: The Oscar winner has signed up to play former Soviet Union chairman Mikhail Gorbachev in Reykjavik, about the historic 1986 nuclear arms summit between Gorbachev and President Ronald Reagan (Michael Douglas). Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) is directing from a script by Kevin Hood (Becoming Jane).

I remain unconvinced that this film will be any good whatsoever. It still seems really strange for Michael Douglas to play this part. As I’ve said, it seems like a real slap in the face to get someone who is…

Viral ‘Wreck-It-Ralph’ Marketing - Retro Commercial

Viral ‘Wreck-It-Ralph’ Marketing - Retro Commercial

I love this sort of marketing. The first time I really felt like it was used to great effect was with Toy Story 3. You might remember the retro Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear Commercial. That’s just really good marketing in my opinion.

Well, they’re at the same sort of stuff with Wreck-It-Ralph, and it’s brilliant. In this commercial we get to see more of the Sugar Rush game, which seems to be quite a bit more than inspired by Mario Kart, with a whole bunch of Candy Land daubed on top.

Check it out:

In this clip, we see more of the scene from the trailer(s) of Q telling Eve to take out Bond’s opponent even though she doesn’t have a clean shot. Seems like a dramatic and tense moment and if this is any indication, it should be a good and well directed film.

‘Ant-Man’ - I Guess They’re Making This Thing

‘Ant-Man’ - I Guess They’re Making This Thing

Ant-Man is definitely the biggest news here, confirming not only that it’ll be the first film of Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Three, but Phase Three will start in the same year as The Avengers 2 (scheduled for release May 1, 2015, and noticeably absent from the above press release). It also closes the loop, as it were, on Phase 2. We’ll be getting the one new film –Guardians of the Galaxy – and three sequels, two of which will be in 3D. That’s not to sayCaptain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians won’t be in 3D, they just haven’t started shooting yet.

This is where my weakness…

The actor made a surprise appearance at the panel to talk about his role as Principal Coulson on “Ultimate Spider-Man” before playing a special video from “Marvel’s The Avengers” Director Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, announcing Gregg’s return to the role of Agent Coulson in the upcoming pilot. Whedon will also co-write the pilot to “Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D.” with Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen.

This reminds me a lot of Angel. Yes really. Warning, SPOILER FOR Buffy and Angel ahead if by some chance you haven’t seen the shows yet.

Angel was killed at the end of…

Mary Elizabeth Winstead to Play Sharon Carter?

Mary Elizabeth Winstead to Play Sharon Carter?
The Playlist - Indiewire.com

Remember last week when it was reported that ”Game of Thrones” stars Emilia Clarke, Jessica Brown-Findlay of “Downton Abbey” fame, Teresa Palmer, Imogen Poots and Alison Brie were all in the running to be Steve Rogers’ gal in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”? Well, according to Latino Review the role is actually for Sharon Carter (niece of Peggy Carter played by Hayley Atwell in “Captain America: The First Avenger”), and that while those names are indeed on the list, it’s actually Mary Elizabeth Winstead who “has the most traction” with Marvel.

So two rumors in there, one of course…

‘Flight’ 90 second trailer

In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault, and what really happened on that plane?

This actually looks pretty good and I’m looking forward to it. Flight stars Denzel Washington, Kelly Reilly, Don Cheadle, Bruce Greenwood, Brian Geraghty, John Goodman, and Tamara…
