‘Paddington’ Trailer

‘Paddington’ Trailer

Somehow, I missed Paddington Bear. I don’t know what’s wrong with me or my upbrining or whatever. Maybe it’s normal, although from what I can tell he seems to be somewhat of a sensation. Whatever, I missed it and have never heard of this bear before the movie became a thing.

I can tell you this, if this trailer is any indication, there is not a serious bone in this franchise’s body. This trailer is nothing but cornball goofiness. That’s not to say it’s not entertaining though…

The film will hit theaters on December 25.

Hey, that’s not good! We need you, Han!

‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ And ‘22 Jump Street’ Will Battle for the Box Office This weekend

Brent Lang — Variety

It’s a sequel slugfest at the multiplexes this weekend as “How to Train Your Dragon 2″ and “22 Jump Street” battle for No. 1 at the box office.

Both films will capitalize on residual goodwill for the first installments in their respective franchises, and they should benefit from very different moviegoing audiences.

Adults will flock to see undercover cops Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum hang out with college spring-breakers in the R-rated “22 Jump Street,” while families will scurry to check out a hapless Viking and his fire-breathing friend in the PG-rated “How to Train Your Dragon…

‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ “Retaliate” TV Spot

‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ “Retaliate” TV Spot

The Planet of the Apes franchise is an interesting one. I watched the Mark Wahlberg installment and really didn’t like it. This kind of turned me off of the franchise even though the 2011 version was a complete reboot. I just couldn’t bring myself to watch it.

But I finally did watch it and it was okay. Not super great, but not terrible. So with all that said, I have no particular fondness for this franchise and am not extremely excited for the upcoming film, but I’m mildly interested.

So, if you’re slightly interested like me, or more interested, here’s a TV spot for you.

Kevin Jagernauth — The Playlist

As we’ve discussed before, turning a popular video game into a halfway decent movie tends to be a hit or (mostly) miss affair in Hollywood. Nintendo franchise “Super Mario Brothers” probably still has the trophy for being a shining example of how wrong things can get, but even this year’s “Need For Speed” showed that there can be a disconnect between the button-mashing audience and those that buy tickets for the multiplex. But nevertheless, Sony is undaunted by the challenge because they are bringing one of the most iconic video game characters ever to the big screen.

Deadline reports that…

“Peg Leg” Clip From ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’

“Peg Leg” Clip From ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’

I was blown away by How To Train Your Dragon, so consequently I’m soaking up all the previews and stuff coming up from the upcoming How To Train Your Dragon 2. I’ve heard good things from pre-screenings and everyone is pretty happy and/or excited about it.

I’m acutally also listening to the score by John Powell as I write this. Believe me guys, I don’t think we’ll want to miss this one.

Here’s the clip:

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ TV Spot 2

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ TV Spot 2

This movie is going to be weird, but in a good way I think. I mean seriously, how weird is a tree and a talking racoon? But totally awesome, right? And it looks like we’re going to get a little bit of everything: space adventure, sci-fi, comic book heroes, crazy, scary, stupid, fun, funny. You name it, I think it’s in this film and I’m going to enjoy every second of it.

Check out the newest TV spot below.

Jeremy Renner Coming Back for ‘Mission: Impossible 5’

Jeremy Renner Coming Back for ‘Mission: Impossible 5’
Alex Maidy —  JoBlo

When MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL hit theaters in 2011, Tom Cruise was partnered with then up and coming star Jeremy Renner as part of his IMF team. After the success of that film, the inevitable sequel was announced. While we know MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 5 is slated to hit screens next year under the direction of Christopher McQuarrie, no stars have been announced outside of Cruise himself.

In a recent interview with Yahoo, Renner was asked about his upcoming guest appearance on the sitcom LOUIE and if he plans any other small screen gigs in the future. Maybe even a turn on the second…

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ TV Spot

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ TV Spot

I’m really looking forward to seeing what Marvel has in store for us with the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy. I don’t expect it to be as good as their other offering this year — Captain America — but I expect it to be a lot of fun.

In this spot, we actually get a “blink and you might miss it” glimpse of Ronan the Accuser — who I know nothing about since I’ve never read these comic books, but apparently, he’s the bad guy… or at least, he often is in the comics though he has been good or moving that way on occasion as I have been led to believe.

This should be a lot of fun.
