Lionsgate Eying a Hillary Clinton Biopic

Lionsgate Eying a Hillary Clinton Biopic
Mike Fleming Jr. - Deadline

After setting a Thanksgiving Weekend record with Jennifer Lawrence’s female protagonist Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Lionsgate is eyeing another film with a strong female heroine. The mini-major is in early talks to back Rodham, a feature about the formative years of former First Lady and Secretary State and potential presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. No actress has yet been set to play Clinton, but several prominent ones are circling, I’m told.

I think I’m going to be sick…

‘Noah’ International Trailer

‘Noah’ International Trailer

I’m not going to try to pretend that I think there’s even the remotest possibility that this film will stay true to the Biblical narrative, or even that those making this film believe it’s anything more than a fanciful fairytale of a story. Indeed, every other film site/blog that has had anything to say about this upcoming film has made it pretty clear that the story is based on the Biblical “myth” of a great flood. But I do think there’s the slightest possibility that this film might be fun (I’m not holding my breath).

I did figure out one thing from the previous trailer and the scene where…

‘Pirates 5’ - Keith Richards Returns, Christoph Waltz as Villain?
B. Alan Orange - MovieWeb.com

A slew of interesting new details have come to surface for the impending sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which has Johnny Depp signed to return as Captain Jack Sparrow for a fifth time.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Keith Richards will return as the pirate Captain Teague, who also happens to be Jack’s biological father. The pair will team up to battle Captain Brand in a search for a mythical trident.

While Disney has not confirmed any of this, Django Unchained’s Christoph Waltz is reportedly interested in taking on the villainous role of Captain Brand.

Pirates…

‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Runs 3 Hours?

‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Runs 3 Hours?
Kevin Jagernauth — The Playlist

There has been a lot of talk surrounding Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf Of Wall Street”—whether or not it would be finished in time, rumors of NC-17 material and of course, the overall length of the movie, etc. Last we heard, it was going clock in at 2 hours 45 minutes, but word from abroad suggests that the runtime has been padded further.

The folks over at Allocine are reporting that according to France distributor Metropolitan Filmexport, “The Wolf Of Wall Street” now clocks in at 2 hour and 59 minutes (which we can only surmise was done to get under a 3 hour-limit). This would make the…

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen Officially in ‘Avengers 2’

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen Officially in ‘Avengers 2’
Marvel.com

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen have officially joined the Avengers family as the brother-sister duo of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the highly-anticipated sequel to 2012’s smash-hit “Marvel’s The Avengers”! “Avengers: Age of Ultron” arrives in theaters May 1, 2015.

These characters, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, probably mean something more to those of you who are more of the comic book geek types than me. While I am a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I know literally nothing else about The Marvel world. But I’m sure that they’re…

‘Gimme Shelter’ Trailer

‘Gimme Shelter’ Trailer

You know how these things go, this could be good, or it could be awful. At this point, the trailer gives us enough to make it look like it could be good. Of course I’m not yet sure what the point of the film is and where it’s going.

The other issue is that it might be hard to see this film. It’s apparently in theaters only one day — January 24 — and who knows how many theaters that will be.

One thing is sure, Hudgens seems to be drawn to the gritty films lately doesn’t she? Take a look.

‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ Trailer 3

‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ Trailer 3

It’s hard to calculate just how much I don’t care about this film. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be drawn to, a guy who… daydreams? What? It’s a little strange. But, you know, different films interest different people. If you’re interested, then this trailer is for you. Have fun.

‘The Wolverine’ Sequel Based on Existing Plotline

‘The Wolverine’ Sequel Based on Existing Plotline
Angie Han - /Film

James Mangold and Hugh Jackman have been pretty vague so far about the “really cool ideas” they’re considering for the upcoming sequel to The Wolverine, especially because they haven’t settled on any one concept just yet. But one thing we now know for certain is that it’ll be based on an existing comic book storyline.

Mangold let the fact slip in a recent interview, during which he also discussed when, exactly, the movie might take place.

Asked by I Am Rogue whether the sequel would be based on a comic book arc, Mangold answered:

Absolutely. I can tell you that in determining where we…

Ben Stiller to the Rescue in ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ Clip

Guys, I just don’t know about this one. I don’t know why I’m supposed to care or what the movie is even really about. This clip doesn’t actually help. Is the film about a guy and his daydreams? Beceause if it is, that’s just weird. Like I said, who really cares? I don’t think I do.

I also understand that it is getting bad cricital reviews…

Sony to Make ‘Spider-Man’ Spinoff Movies. Because of Reasons

Sony to Make ‘Spider-Man’ Spinoff Movies. Because of Reasons
Kevin Jagernauth — The Playlist

“We do very much have the ambition about creating a bigger universe around Spider-Man. There are a number of scripts in the works,” Sony Pictures Entertainment chief Michael Lynton said. And again, this isn’t exactly Earth-shaking news. There is already a “Venom” movie in the works with Josh Trank attached (though obviously, his first priority is “Fantastic Four” over at Fox), and with Sinister Six already teased pretty heavily and countless other Spidey characters from the canon to tackle, it’s clear the studio is looking at the Marvel model…

I just… I don’t even… sigh…

It’s like, “Oh…
