‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ SIX MINUTE Trailer

‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ SIX MINUTE Trailer

I hope you are less bored watching this six minutes of drudgery than I was. Seriously, wow. I can think of far better and less excruciating ways of spending six minutes. I don’t know what my problem is with this film exactly. I can usually pinpoint how and why I feel the way I do about films and/or film trailer (that is what I do after all), but this film has not interested me in the slightest since I saw the first trailer and I think my sentiment towards this film is going in the wrong direction.

But I continue to post about it because I know many of you are interested in this film and are…

‘Her’ Trailer 2

‘Her’ Trailer 2

Raise your hand if you’ve every fallen in love with a computer rather than a real person…

Yeah, me either. But apparently Joaquin Phoenix does that in Her, a film which looks extremely strange to me. Scarlett Johansson provides the voice for this Operating System with which Phoenix’s character falls in love, and the film also features Amy Adams and Rooney Mara.

As far as I can tell, this film is taking its concept of a man falling in love with an Operating System quite seriously. Again, as far as I can tell, it’s being posed as a real love story — which is just weird. But, you know, maybe…

‘Noah’ International Trailer

‘Noah’ International Trailer

I’m not going to try to pretend that I think there’s even the remotest possibility that this film will stay true to the Biblical narrative, or even that those making this film believe it’s anything more than a fanciful fairytale of a story. Indeed, every other film site/blog that has had anything to say about this upcoming film has made it pretty clear that the story is based on the Biblical “myth” of a great flood. But I do think there’s the slightest possibility that this film might be fun (I’m not holding my breath).

I did figure out one thing from the previous trailer and the scene where…

The Visual Effects of ‘Thor: The Dark World’

The Visual Effects of ‘Thor: The Dark World’

I love these sorts of things, especially for films that were as good as Thor: The Dark World. And I always love seeing/hearing about those things that we think are probably digital, but are actually practical effects. Obviously a film like Thor: The Dark World is going to have a lot of digital stuff going on but I’m a firm believer that the more actual, real practical effects and real things we can have on film, the better the film will be. Yes, we’re getting to the point where we can digitally recreate people, but even so we can’t quite make them look real yet. I have no doubt that we’ll get…

‘Gimme Shelter’ Trailer

‘Gimme Shelter’ Trailer

You know how these things go, this could be good, or it could be awful. At this point, the trailer gives us enough to make it look like it could be good. Of course I’m not yet sure what the point of the film is and where it’s going.

The other issue is that it might be hard to see this film. It’s apparently in theaters only one day — January 24 — and who knows how many theaters that will be.

One thing is sure, Hudgens seems to be drawn to the gritty films lately doesn’t she? Take a look.

‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ Trailer 3

‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ Trailer 3

It’s hard to calculate just how much I don’t care about this film. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be drawn to, a guy who… daydreams? What? It’s a little strange. But, you know, different films interest different people. If you’re interested, then this trailer is for you. Have fun.

‘Pacific Rim’ Honest Trailer

‘Pacific Rim’ Honest Trailer

I love Honest Trailers! I’m not sure how, but somehow, I missed this when it came out. I know I could subscribe to the Screen Junkies channel on YouTube, but honestly I don’t use YouTube that way and don’t want to. I see a video, I click and watch, then I go away. I know there’s a whole YouTube culture or whatever where people spend a lot of time on the site and subscribe to a bunch of channels and etc. etc. Well, I still use RSS feeds like they’re the last hope on earth and I found a way to subscribe to a YouTube channel as an RSS feed. So, I have now added the Screen Junkies YouTube channel…

Ben Stiller to the Rescue in ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ Clip

Guys, I just don’t know about this one. I don’t know why I’m supposed to care or what the movie is even really about. This clip doesn’t actually help. Is the film about a guy and his daydreams? Beceause if it is, that’s just weird. Like I said, who really cares? I don’t think I do.

I also understand that it is getting bad cricital reviews…

‘Devil’s Knot’ Trailer

‘Devil’s Knot’ Trailer

Hey, this looks really good! Of course it stars two good actors too — Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth — so perhaps it’s no surprise.

I admit I did not have any knowledge of the events this film is based on prior to reading for about sixty seconds just now on Wikipedia, but it looks like the film deals with some sticky issues, heartbroken parents, false convictions etc. I’m certainly interested to see if this film is any good.

The Revolution Begins Right now with New ‘Robocop’ Trailer

There’s a lot of intersting stuff going on in this trailer and therefore in the upcoming Robocop film. I’m very interested to see if it’s any good. I was never into Robocop before for whatever reason. I’m debating now whether to go back and watch the original film sometime soon. I’m thinking I should. What do you guys think?
