‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Theatrical Trailer

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Theatrical Trailer

I have a whole lot of saved stuff coming out of San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) over the weekend that I’m still sifting through. I feel about like Dug from Up: “Hey, this thing looks cool, I think I’ll post… SQUIRREL!”

This was the first item to catch my attention this morning when I looked at my queue, there will be more!

So this second film in The Hunger Games universe is directed by Francis Lawrence and featured all the same primary cast members, including of course, Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark. Many of the cast members appeared on stage at…

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Featurette Featuring Joss Whedon

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Featurette Featuring Joss Whedon

I’m looking forward to this show with great anticipation, so of course I’m going to post this featurette for you all to see. I want to share my joy and excitement and… oh, you know, I mean Joss Whedon! How can a TV Show go wrong with Joss Whedon in the background pulling the strings? I submit that it cannot.

Welcome to Level 7!

Welcome to Battle School — ‘Ender’s Game’ Clip

Welcome to Battle School — ‘Ender’s Game’ Clip

Well, it appears that Battle School ain’t like dustin crops boy! The aliens invaded and it must never be allowed to happen again!

I know nothing of the book series, but those who do tell me that this film is going to be good. And I’m looking forward to it, for sure.

But don’t take my word for it, let Colonel Graff convince you in a message to his young cadets preparing for battle training in this first clip from Ender’s Game.

‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ — Electro!

‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ — Electro!

You all already know how I can’t wait to not see this film, but, well, you know, it’s my duty to share this with you I suppose.

This is a trailer for a panel from San Diego Comic Con, but it’s the first look we’ve gotten at Jamie Foxx as Electro. It seems that whatever the deal is, and whatever is going on here, he can “feel it in his veins” or something. Man, can I not wait to not see this second installment in the reboot of the Spider-Man franchise. Ugh.

But for you nu-Spidey lovers (crazy though you may be), here you are.

‘The Fifth Estate’ Trailer Featuring Benedict Cumberbatch

‘The Fifth Estate’ Trailer Featuring Benedict Cumberbatch

Is he a hero or a traitor? Is he a threat to national security? This upcoming film is Based on the books Inside WikiLeaks: My Time With Julian Assange At The World’s Most Dangerous Website (by former Assange ally Daniel Domscheit-Berg) and WikiLeaks: Inside Julian Assange’s War On Secrecy (by David Leigh and Luke Harding). It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Assange.

I think I’d like to see this.

Triggering our age of high-stakes secrecy, explosive news leaks and the trafficking of classified information, WikiLeaks forever changed the game. Now, in a dramatic thriller based on real…

Peter Sciretta and Germain Lussier Liked ‘The Wolverine’

Peter Sciretta and Germain Lussier Liked ‘The Wolverine’

I hate to get my hopes too high, but it sure sounds like my kind of movie with good character development and good plot. I did not hate the previous film, but I was dissapointed in that I thought it could have been much better.

It is nice too, that this film is finally taking place in a post-X-Men: The Last Stand timeline. On the one hand, I like to pretend that third film does not exsist. But on the other, I’m tired of all the prequel stuff.

In any event, here is the video of Peter and Germain’s reaction.

‘Wolverine’ Honest Trailer

‘Wolverine’ Honest Trailer

No, no, not the new one that isn’t out yet. Man this naming scheme is confusing. I’m talking about the first Wolverine standalone film. You know, I didn’t hate it as much as the rest of the world — maybe I was just glad it was not as bad as X-Men: The Last Stand — but it certainly was not the best installment in the X-Men universe. This Honest Trailer will highight some of the very things that is wrong with that film, and in the normal, humorous way. I warn you though, you’ll want to be in a place where you can have some good, hearty laughs before you watch this!

Enjoy!

How ‘Man of Steel’ Should Have Ended

How ‘Man of Steel’ Should Have Ended

Nail, meet hammer head! These seem so much more poignant when I hate the movie that they are about I guess.

In any event, obviously you should probably have watch Man of Steel before you see this, but I highly recommend it. This would have solved a number of my problems with Man of Steel! The problem is, the film would have been far shorter. What the film really needed was a real script. Alas, we didn’t get that…

Well, enjoy this anyway.

‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Teaser

‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Teaser

I never saw the first one but apparently people liked it and it did well at the box office and all that jaz so they’re making a couple more. So since I don’t really know anything about it, I’ll just quote the official synopsis and embed the teaser below:

The thrilling second chapter of the epic How To Train Your Dragon trilogy brings back the fantastical world of Hiccup and Toothless five years later. While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island’s new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies,…

New ‘Planes’ Trailer

New ‘Planes’ Trailer

Hey, guess what, I’m still not super interested or excited about this film. I’m not sure what the story is, it seems to lack cohesion. The only thing the trailer showcases is the humor. There does not seem to be any heart or story in this trailer. It’s just not adding up for me. I sure hope I’m wrong but something sure seems like it’s missing here.
