I’m sure we’re all familiar with the old Disney classic of Sleeping Beauty. I’m sure I’ve seen it hundreds of times. But this is a new take on the tale — actually starting apparently well before the classic tale begins exploring how Meleficent became evil.

I’ll tell you, in the teaser trailer, and now in this trailer, it sure seems like Angeline Jolie is the perfect actress to play Maleficent. I’m kind of looking forward to seeing if this film is any good.

The summer of 2015 just got a tiny bit less crowded. Variety reports that Warner Bros. has just pushed the Man of Steel sequel from July 17, 2015 to May 6, 2016. The new date pits the Zack Snyder-helmed film directly against an as-yet-unnamed Marvel Studios project, though in all likelihood one or the other will move before then.

Joe Wright‘s Peter Pan origin tale will now move into the July 17, 2015 slot, having previously been slotted for June 26, 2015.

TJ is back to give you the news from the past week. First up, the winner at the Golden Globes is ‘12 Years a Slave’. Then there’s ‘Star Wars’ Rumors galore. And they haven’t even started filming this thing. It’s going to be a long wait until the release of this film! ‘Catching Fire’ toppled ‘Iron Man 3’ as the biggest earner for 2013. Pretty big deal. Armond White was kicked out of the New York Film Critics Circle, and good riddance to him. TJ also focused his time and attention this week on ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ by writing a review, and releasing two podcasts about it. ‘Gravity’ is returning to theaters so you should check that out if you failed to see it the first time. A man in Florida was shot in the theater for texting. That’s really not good at all! And TJ has the list of Oscar nominees for you! Of course find out what to see this weekend as well.

I will continue to maintain that if you don’t like this show we probably can’t be friends. I really don’t get what everybody doesn’t like about this show. It’s really fantastic and it’s just getting better and better. This week’s episode was great where Colson gets to deal with what’s been going on in his past and dig up what’s going on with Skye’s past.

USA Today reports (via Indiewire) that CW—aka the network that cancelled the show—has worked out a deal with Thomas to bring the Neptune universe to the web in the form of a spinoff web series for the network’s CW Seed site. Right now details are sketchy, it could be anywhere between six to eight episodes lasting between five and ten minutes apiece.

Roger Lloyd-Pack, the British actor best known for his role in classic sitcom Only Fools And Horses, has died. He passed away at home on Wednesday night, suffering from pancreatic cancer, his agent told the UK press. He was 69. Lloyd-Pack played the slow-witted road sweeper Colin “Trigger” Ball on long-running BBC One sitcom Only Fools And Horses. He also played farmer Owen Newitt in the Richard Curtis-created BBC series The Vicar Of Dibley. J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek Into Darkness”, which was released in theaters last May, has been nominated for an Oscar Award for Best Visual Effects.

The team that worked on the VFX for the film include Roger Guyett, Patrick Tubach, Ben Grossmann and Burt Dalton. “Star Trek Into Darkness” will be competing against “Gravity”, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”, “Iron Man 3″ and “The Lone Ranger” for the prized gold statue.
