Godzzilla TV Spot

Godzzilla TV Spot

I have to admit, as much as great big old monster movies aren’t my thing, I’m intrigued by the upcoming Godzilla film. They certainly have been taking a very artistic approach to the trailers and not playing up the typical monster movie stereo types. Case in point is the latest 30 second spot.

There’s Only One God Ma’am — What To See This Weekend

There’s Only One God Ma’am — What To See This Weekend

I’m pretty confident in saying that this is going to be a really good weekend at the cinema. Why? Because Captain America: The Winter Soldier is out this weekend. This is the first of two Marvel films this year and I’ve certainly been looking forward to this one with great anticipation.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier — PG-13

I have a very soft spot in my heart for Captain America: The First Avengers. A lot of people complain that it only existed to set up The Avengers but I find that to be quite disingenous. Yes, the ending leaves you hanging slightly because, duh, it is certainly a…

2 Final Clips from ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’

Many of you might be seeing this film tonight, even more of you will likely see it sometime this weekend. Aside from the fact that this is going to be a good one (I can just feel it!), it is the only new film in wide release this weekend.

But if you need just a little bit more in the appetite whetting department, here are two more clips from the film. Enjoy!

Amazon Fire TV

Peter Sciretta — /Film

Amazon today announced their own set-top box to compete with Apple TV and Roku. The $99 Amazon Fire TV Set-Top Box, which begins shipping today, features a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.

At the press event to announce the device, Amazon’s Peter Larsen claimed Fire TV improved on three problem points with current devices (Apple and Roku), allowing a better search experience (with voice search), enhanced performance (more ram, less lag), and an open ecosystem (run on an android os).

This is the first thing to come along that, in my estimation, actually offers any competition for the…

Brian Gallagher — MovieWeb

Columbia Pictures has set an April 17, 2015 release date for their comedy sequel Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, which stars Kevin James reprising his title role from 2009’s Paul Blart: Mall Cop. As of now, the sequel doesn’t have any direct competition, but it opens one week before Universal’s highly-anticipated sequel Fast & Furious 7.

The story is set in Las Vegas, where Paul and his daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) attend a security guard convention. Although he is constantly mocked by casino security, he joins forces with them to take down a dangerous group of art thieves.

If Superman Were In ‘Gravity

If Superman Were In ‘Gravity

Space may be a terrifying place for us humans. We have to worry about things like tempurature, air — the basics that keep us alive here on earth that we normally take for granted. But for a certain blue clad Kryptonian, space offers no such risks.

This is an alternate cut of sorts for what Gravity could have been like if the man of steel had been involved.

I think the best part is the sort of twisted explanation for how the situation occurred in the first place. I nearly died laughing.

Roku CEO Slams Apple TV as Accessory for iPad

Roku CEO Slams Apple TV as Accessory for iPad
Richard Padilla — MacRumors

Speaking at the inaugural Code/Media event held by technology website Re/code (via CNET), Roku CEO and founder Anthony Wood called the Apple TV “a money loser” for Apple, likening the product to an accessory for the iPad and questioning why Apple would want to sell more units of the device. Wood’s remarks come as Apple is said to be preparing a new version of the Apple TV that will integrate with Comcast’s network to enable a streaming TV service for users.

“Apple TV is essentially an accessory for the iPad. They lose money, which is unusual for Apple,” he said Thursday, speaking at the…

Hugh Jackman Mixing Up His Roles, Sings ‘Wolverine The Musical’

Here’s a bit of hilarity for you today. Hugh Jackman’s roles are wide ranging and various, but today we’re going to throw two of them in a bottle and shake it up to see what comes out. And this is the result with lines like, “Who am I? Am I a superhero with some claws? Or just an actor searching for applause?”

It’s pretty hillarious.

‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Teaser — Cap Trusts Black Widow Now

There’s obviously something going on between our favorite captain and the Black Widow. Are they together now or something? We’ll find out this weekend. But one thing is for sure, they’re definitely doing the teamwork thing on the world-saving stuff.

Watch to find out more! I can’t wait to see the film. I’m hearing a lot of good things about it.
