Mr. Anderson

In this episode of MovieByte, TJ and Joseph discuss Matt Damon’s recent comments that he thinks it unlikely he will return as Jason Bourne, the ‘Hitchcock’ Trailer — Joseph thinks it looks like a fantastic movie, TJ is nonplussed — and a little bit of discussion about the ‘Taken’ franchise and the fact that Taken 3 is “a go”. And then they are joined by special guest Stewart Adams to talk about ‘The Matrix’. TJ and Stewart are fans! (that might be an understatement). They talk about all the different themes of the film, the multiple layers you get out of subsequent viewings, the fact that Stewart first saw this film in the form of a TV edit, the characters and casting of the film, the stylistic choices and so much more. Join us for a lively discussion!

‘Taken 3’ Is a Go

‘Taken 3’ Is a Go
Total Film

As we predicted earlier in the week, Taken 2’s extraordinarily strong performance at the box office has convinced Fox executives that there’s life in the franchise yet, with writer Robert Mark Kamen suggesting that a third film is moving forward.

Indeed, Kamen doesn’t make any bones about the motivation behind another sequel, admitting that the second film’s $100m global opening made everybody think twice.

Reading on, apparently Neeson isn’t sure he’s onboard. And honestly, I don’t have a lot of hope for a third film. I with they would just leave the franchise be now.

Revolution Episode 4 Recap (SPOILERS!)

Revolution Episode 4 Recap (SPOILERS!)
TV Line

Warning: The following recap, by the very definition of the word “recap,” contains spoilers from NBC’s Revolution.

NBC’s Revolution, in its fourth outing, busted out one of the oldest tricks in the book: inviting us to care, more than we had done to date, about a major-ish character, before killing that person off.

In this case, it was Maggie, the steely British doctor who had been Ben Matheson’s “lady friend” and joined Charlie in the mission to find Danny after Ben was killed by the militia.

They definitely played with out emotions in this one. And they certainly wanted to up the…

Stewart Shows How to Beat Super Mario Bros

Stewart Shows How to Beat Super Mario Bros
All Thumbs Gaming

ATG’s very own ‘Art’ shows us how to beat Super Mario Bros. fast.  No mods. No hacks. No cheats. Just pure vanilla Super Mario Bros. completed in less than 9 minutes using warp zones. Played using the “All-Stars” version of the game, which has improved 16-bit graphics and audio.

I know this is not strictly related to movies — I can’t even find an excuse of a relationship. But I wanted to share this because we had a special guest on the podcast which we recorded last night and which we will be releasing a little later today. This is from our friend Stewart Adams, formerly one of the…

‘The Mindy Project’ - One Full Season of Awful

‘The Mindy Project’ - One Full Season of Awful
TV Line

Fox is going all the way with The Mindy Projectpicking up the freshman comedy for a full 22-episode season.

Additionally, the network has ordered six additional episodes of fellow rookie Ben and Kate, bringing that sitcom’s Season 1 haul to 19.

Oh, I get the strategy now, Fox is canceling all the good shows and picking up really awful shows instead. If you need any proof of just how bad this show looks, I offer you this trailer (caution, possibly offensive references, particularly one toward the beginning when Mindy is “praying” about the type of man she would like God to bring her……
