Another Reason to see ‘Man of Steel’

Another Reason to see ‘Man of Steel’
Robert Yaniz Jr. - ScreenRant

According to Emileeid.com, the first trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will make its debut in theaters with Man of Steel next week. Before that, though, the footage is set to pop up online June 12th at 10am PDT. Word is that this is a full two-minute trailer featuring actual footage from the film and not merely a teaser to let moviegoers know the film is on the way.

While my mixed feelings on the first installment in The Hobbit trilogy may be legendary (disclaimer: actual legendary material not included), I’m still looking forward to this trailer like a good geek. I mean…

Now You See Me — Review

4 of 5 stars

Chad has been an avid reader and supporter of MovieByte for some time. As pretty much the only guy working on MovieByte right now, and while still trying to work to make a living in addition to MovieByte I sometimes get overwhelmed. Such was the case with Now You See Me. Though I wanted to write the review of the film, I simply haven’t had time. Chad has stepped in to fill in the gap and I think him very much for doing so.

Enjoy his review, it’s good stuff!

Now You See Me

Magic is fun. Movies are fun. Combining the two to make a movie about a group of magicians who rob a bank? Even more fun! With a premise like that, Now You See Me, sets itself up from the start to be one heck of a ride - and quite an entertaining one at that!

The Magical Plot

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco star as four magicians of varying abilities who work alone. As we are introduced to each magician performing his/her solo act, we notice a hooded figure  in attendance at each performer’s show. Soon, the four are brought together, each having received a…

Big ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer

Big ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer

Get ready for June 14th, it’s going to be a big one guys! This trailer is pretty epic. I don’t know if it’s as epic is the final trailer for Star Trek was, but it’s way up there.

There’s not a lot of words in this trailer, but you really don’t need them. It works so well and communicates everything it needs to. And man am I ready. Are you ready? Buckle up! Let’s see what Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan’s vision is for the Superman!

Joss Whedon talks ‘Much Ado’

Joss Whedon talks ‘Much Ado’

With the film making it’s wide theatrical release on June 14, some of you may want to hear from the man himself a little bit about the film, and I am here to satisfy that longing.

He talks about casting Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof and how he normally likes to cast them as star crossed lovers and he thought it might be nice to un-cross them, what it was like to work with someone else’s characters (again) since he’s most well known for creating new and unique original characters, oh, and what would an ice cream named after him be called… wait, what?

Anyway, check it out.

2 Clips from ‘Man of Steel’

2 Clips from ‘Man of Steel’

I’ve got two clips here from the upcoming Man of Steel. The clips are from the YouTube channel MovieclipsCOMINGSOON. The clips appear to be filmed from a TV or something so I suggest you watch them now in case they get pulled. Even with that, they aren’t terrible quality and I don’t think they really give anything away. One this is certain, I’m ready to see this film!

In this first clip, Morpheus offers Lois Lane a choice between a red pill and a blue pill… wait, sorry, wrong movie…

Behind the Scenes of ‘Fast 6’ End Sequence

Behind the Scenes of ‘Fast 6’ End Sequence

Fast & Furious 6 may have been a pretty stupid movie with a pretty stupid premise, and one of the stupidest ending action sequences of all time, but I’m still a sucker for these behind the scenes things that show how it was accomplished. I have to say that it did look real, despite the fact that there is no way on earth this scene could have actually taken place and that runway is the longest runway in the history of mankind since they were driving down that runway at full speed for about 10 minutes of the film. Stupid.

But in any event, it’s still fun to see how they did it.

‘Jack The Giant Slayer’
Taking time out of his “X-Men” duties, Bryan Singer brings to the screen this famous fairy tale (now supped up to Hollywood standards). Nicholas Hoult stars as Jack, the farm boy who climbs the beanstalk and uncovers a land filled with pissed off giants.
Why Watch It: Incredible CGI with some entertaining supporting roles by Ewan McGregor and Stanley Tucci.

‘Man of Steel’ Easter Egg

‘Man of Steel’ Easter Egg
Kevin Jagernauth - The Playlist

MINOR(ish) SPOILERS FOR MAN OF STEEL FOLLOW.

“The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys,” Zack Snyder told Omelete (via Collider). Oh damn. Of course, the inevitable next question that followed was whether or not Batman and Superman were going to team up in any future movies, and as always, Snyder remained tight-lipped.

“I don’t know. Everything is interesting at this point. And don’t forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what…,” he said, which at very least suggests that should “Man Of Steel Rises” or whatever happens, you can probably bet good money Lex…

‘Man of Steel’ 13 Minute Featurette

‘Man of Steel’ 13 Minute Featurette

Who’s excited for the upcoming Man of Steel? Many are already saying it’s going to be the biggest and best film of the summer. They might be right. As I have mentioned before, I have been slowly working my way up toward feeling good about this film. At this point I am ready to see it for sure!

This behind the scenes featurette is fantastic, really giving us a nice glimpse into the mindset of the director and the actors, really letting us in behind the scenes to see what’s going on.
