Download a track from ‘Man of Steel’ Score Free with Ticket

So if you buy tickets to see Man of Steel on June 14 over on Fandango right now, you will receive a free download of one track from the upcoming film.

It may not be an earth shattering deal or anything, but it’s worth doing if you ask me.

I will say though that I already ordered my Man of Steel tickets and have not received my download code yet. The site did say to allow 24 hours for them to send it to my email. I want to listen so I hope they hurry.

If you want to take advantage, head over to Fandango and get your tickets.

Another Article on the Gratuitous Underwear Scene

But, let’s back up a second. Why exactly is she in her underwear? She tells Kirk to turn around, doesn’t mention why (were we expecting here to require a change of wardrobe?) and then acts coy when Kirk sneaks a peak at her half-dressed body. The scene was flat out gratuitous. It had no point. There was no reason for her to change clothes. There was no reason for her to change in front of Kirk. There was no reason for her to change in a shuttlecraft with the back door hanging wide open. The writers threw the scene in for pure, testosterone-driven shock value. (Side note: lucky she was…

Join Us To Talk ‘Star Trek’ Tomorrow with Anthony Pascale

Tomorrow, at 6:30 PM Central Time, we’ll be joined by Anthony Pascale of TrekMovie.com to talk about and review Star Trek Into Darkness. I intend to have a lot of fun, and I know Anthony will have a lot to say. And even Joe has told me he liked the film, and he’s not necessarily the biggest fan of Star Trek, so you’ll want to tune in to hear why he would like the film.

This is one of the big summer blockbusters, and while we’ve got more to come this year, this is a big one to talk about and discuss and you’ll want to get your voice and opinion in on the conversation in the chat room. So…

Anthony Pascale Analyzes ‘Into Darkness’ Opening Numbers

Anthony Pascale Analyzes ‘Into Darkness’ Opening Numbers
Anthony Pascale - TrekMovie.com

The final weekend results are in and Star Trek Into Darkness is the #1 movie in the world, bringing in over $110M over the weekend giving it a global gross of over $164M. Analysts mostly agree the film had a solid domestic performance (but behind expectations) and impressive overseas sales. More details and analysis of the analysis below.

Why is the film missing projections? It is a bit odd since everyone — EVERYONE — that matters loves the film.

It is hard to predict where the film will go from here but domestically it looks like Into Darkness may not outperform the 2009 Star…

Someone Sure Hated ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’

Someone Sure Hated ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’
Rob Bricken - io9

After making a mere $84 million at the U.S. box office, Star Trek Into Darkness is considered by some to be a disappointment. Perhaps the problem is that it was a touch confusing. To help our readers better understand it, we’ve complied and answered these Frequently Asked Questions about the movie.

Maximum spoilers ahead…

I have to admit, as much as I do not agree with the perspective of this article, I had a lot of fun reading it. I laughed, and I laughed, and I laughed. Then my wife wanted to know what I was going on about, so I had to start over, reading it to her, and we both…

A ‘Fast And Furious 6’ Review

A ‘Fast And Furious 6’ Review
Laremy Legel - Film.com

The opening rap lyric of “Fast & Furious 6” professes that “Only God can judge,” which is as fitting a mantra for the entire “Fast” series as you’ll find this side of a NASCAR track. For really, what is there to judge? The cars go extremely fast, the (non-supporting) ladies traipse around in skimpy outfits, and the stunts somehow get bigger and badder each and every time out of the gate. Plausibility? Uhh, no thanks. Realistic aerial physics? Ha, good one! Jocular humor combined with death-defying action? Well, sure, yes please, and drive through safely. This is a franchise entirely…

The Science of ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’

The Science of ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’
Kayla Iacovino - TrekMovie.com

So, by now, we’ve all seen Star Trek Into Darkness. Some of us loved it, some of us hated it, some of us said, “meh.” But, forget about what you thought of the movie for a second. What did you think of the science? Let’s take a more in depth look at some of the most sciencey moments from STID. It goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyways, that this review contains SPOILERS!!!

Cast & Crew Behind ‘Man of Steel’ Speak in New Featurette

We’re now less than one month away from seeing Man of Steel in theaters. But if that date still seems a long way away, then perhaps this can tide you over just a bit. Actors, producers, and the director weighs in on what this version of Superman is all about, how it’s different, what it explores, etc.

This video features Zack & Deborah Snyder, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Costner, and Russell Crowe. I recommend it. It’s fun.

‘Star Trek’ Brain Dump

‘Star Trek’ Brain Dump

Alright, fasten your seat belts, I need to do a brain dump of all the Star Trek stuff I’ve accumulated. I’m thinking I might need to change the name of this site to TrekByte as much Star Trek stuff I’ve been talking about posting about lately. But hey, it’s the big film right now, and indications are it’s going to tear up the box office this weekend here in the U.S.

First up, Anthony Pascale of TrekMovie.com, friend of the site, interviews Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine in the following video.

And then he also interviewed Alice Eve who plays Carol Marcus in the new Star Trek film…
