Tonight, Chad and I will be talking about The Wolverine and probably all other things related to the X-Men universe as well (I probably will have a few choice words for my disdain of Bret Ratner’s The Last Stand amont other things). We’ll also run down the latest movie trailers and talk about some other choice movie news. As always, come prepared to have lots of fun!

Chad and I will be talking about RED 2 and R.I.P.D. Strangely enough, the comment thread between these two films is that they opened on the same weekend and they both stared Mary-Louise Parker. Oh, well, neither is getting great critical reception, though R.I.P.D. is doing much worse than RED 2. It’s a shame because they are both pretty fun movies, and RED 2 is actually quite good.

I haven’t heard from Chad yet how he feels about the films, but that’s just more reason for you to tune in tonight and find out what he thinks. We’ll be broadcasting at 7:30 Central Time, so get yourselves ready…

Not a lot is going on in the movie news today. That makes it kind of hard to find news and stuff. But that’s okay because it’s a holiday. I’m guessing most of my readers are in the U.S., but for those of you that are not, today is the day we celebrate the independence of the United States. We do all kinds of crazy things like set off dangerous fireworks, grill hotdogs that are ostensibly made of meat, and the like. Unfortunately for me, it’s raining here in Nashville, makes for kind of a soggy 4^th, but I’m sure we’ll make the best of it.

If you’ve been keeping up with The MovieByte Podcast (as you should be!!!), you know that Joe is stepping down as my co-host due to life circumstances and other commitments. At the time, we found a decent sponsor (Liberty Alliance) and felt we were set to run the talk show for years to come. Hey guys, I wanted to let you know that we had to move our start time for the show back an hour to 7:30 PM Central Time. We’ll have a guest with us, and I have some follow up on Man of Steel (no, I’m not going to hate on it too much more) and some funny Superman stuff in general. Plus, I’ve got a couple of trailers lined up for a new edition of TrailerByte (if you don’t know what TrailerByte is, shame on you, that means you didn’t listen to last week’s show!).
