‘Man of Steel’ TV Spot 3

‘Man of Steel’ TV Spot 3

So perhaps you were going to skip over this one because TV spots are often little more than a remix of parts of the theatrical trailers we have already seen. Well, Man of Steel is breaking more rules than just the color of Perry White’s skin apparently because this new TV spot breaks the remix rule too. There’s all sorts of images and film we haven’t yet seen. You will definitely want to check this out.

First of all, we see what looks to me like General Zod’s space landing on what I am assuming is earth. Then a couple shots later it looks like that same space ship is firing some sort of…

‘Ender’s Game’ Trailer Announcement

‘Ender’s Game’ Trailer Announcement

Interesting. I can’t say I know anything about the novel this film is based on. So I turned to Wikipedia and learned this:

Sometime in the near future, humanity began to explore the solar system and master interplanetary spaceflight. In doing so, they encountered an alien race known as the Formics, derogatorily dubbed “buggers” due to their insect-like appearance, scouting the system and establishing a forward base in the asteroid Eros. The Formics attacked the humans and the two races entered into two drawn-out wars. Despite political conflict on Earth between three ruling parties, the…

Yet Another ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ TV Spot: ‘Run’

Yet Another ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ TV Spot: ‘Run’

I’m telling you what, if clips, trailers, and footage we have not yet seen keeps rolling out at this rate, I will have seen the entire film by the time May 17 gets here. Seriously, I can’t remember the last time so much stuff has come out in advance of a film.

Most of this stuff we’ve seen before, but there are a couple of new shots, particularly a really good view of the smoking starship (presumably the U.S.S. Vengeance) falling from the sky before the same saucer section crashing into buildings shot we’ve seen in several other trailers. Plus, Kirk is in a bar doing his thing wooing the…

More ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Goodies

More ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Goodies

New promos, clips, and other cools stuff coming out for Star Trek Into Darkness is getting to be an almost daily occurrence now. I mean really, how much more can they crank out without just releasing the film to bit torrent or something?

I know that the studios have to do everything they can to generate as much interest as they can, but I am a little bit frustrated at this point with the shear amount of footage that has been released. I feel like in order to keep up with the conversation I have to watch everything that comes out (that is officially released anyway), and yet I feel like…

‘White House Down’ Trailer 2

‘White House Down’ Trailer 2

Could this possibly be any good. Actually, it looks like it “could” though I don’t know if I’ll hold my breath or anything. But this sort of things can be fun when done right.

Somehow, I missed the first trailer for this film as this appears to be trailer number 2. Indeed, I haven’t heard much about it before now, but it looks like the film opens on June 28. It’s directed by Roland Emmerich and stars Channing Tatum (which makes me a little suspicious, but then again, Roland Emmerich… well, come to think of it, he has a couple of decent movies but nothing I’m overly fond of. But my point…

‘Man of Steel’ TV Spot 2

‘Man of Steel’ TV Spot 2

Is it June 14 yet? This Man of Steel trailer makes me wish it was because I’m ready. This may be just a TV spot, but it looks like there’s footage here we haven’t seen yet so it’s worth checking out. And of course, this is Christoper Nolan behind the scenes on this one producing, with Zack Snyder directing so this film “should” be good, right?

Well, we’ll see but I’m expecting it to be good anyway.

‘The Wolverine’ Official CinemaCon Trailer

‘The Wolverine’ Official CinemaCon Trailer

The potential is here for a good film. The X-Men Universe sort of floundered a little with Bret Ratner’s version of X-Men: The Last Stand (which I pretty much reject as cannon by the way, I guess I’m in denial). The potential is also here for an awful film, and only time will tell us the story.

In the mean time, we can get the excitement fired up for this film by way of this CinemaCon trailer. The Wolverine will release on July 26, 2013 and is helmed by director James Mangold.

‘Pacific Rim’ WonderCon Trailer - Monsters and Robots!

‘Pacific Rim’ WonderCon Trailer - Monsters and Robots!

I still remain skeptical that this is going to be anything other than a giant robot smash ‘em, crash ‘em action fest with no real plot. Indeed, this plot seems pretty generic.

I don’t mind familiar plots if the story deserves to be told, I have not been convinced about this story.

But, with this trailer, originally released at WonderCon, we do get to see a peek into the film for a bit more detail about the plot, about the people, and yes, we get to hear GLaDOS as the computer voice again, which, as you might expect, is ominous.

Like I said thought, I’m going into this film ready for…

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Viral Video and Promo

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Viral Video and Promo

Wait, wait, wait, is this becoming a Star Trek site or something?

Well no, but it’s certainly hard for me not to talk about it since I love Trek so much. Also, the response from you, my readers, has been really great with Star Trek. So you guys are just throwing gasoline on the fire here.

I’ve got a couple of new goodies. First is a look at Uhura. You might remember that last week “John Harrison” sent out two messages like this, one about Captain Kirk, and the other about Spock. This week it’s Uhura. Take a look.

This video is fun and all, but there’s one really awesome thing that…

Two More ‘Iron Man 3’ TV Spots

Two More ‘Iron Man 3’ TV Spots

Well it seems Marvel has a little bit more to show us before the film premieres here in the U.S. because there’s just a bit of new footage we haven’t yet seen in these spots.

The first spot is titled Soldiers, and the second is called Heroes, There is No Such Thing.

Is it May 3 yet?
