‘Epic’ Trailer

‘Epic’ Trailer

I’m not actually expecting this to be any good, but I figure it’s worth putting up the trailer for.

EPIC is a 3D CG action-adventure comedy that reveals a hidden world unlike any other. From the creators of ICE AGE and RIO, EPIC tells the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good who keep the natural world alive and the forces of evil who wish to destroy it. When a teen age girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world… and ours.

Brad Bird Won’t Direct ‘Star Wars VII’

Brad Bird Won’t Direct ‘Star Wars VII’
Entertainment Weekly

Cross off another director from the line-up of all-stars who’ve been eyed to helm the next Star Wars movie. Brad Bird — who, along with Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams, was approached by Lucasfilm to direct the next chapter in the behemoth franchise — tweeted four simple wordsSaturday that no doubt rocked his nearly 50k followers: “Not doing Star Wars.”

Bird (Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol) went on to tweet that “Michael Arndt is a fantastic writer and Kathy Kennedy is a brilliant producer. I will be first in line to see the new STAR WARS.”

Well, so far we know a lot about…

‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Trailer

‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Trailer

I know nothing of this book series, and I have no idea whether this is going to be any good. I saw someone somewhere online say that it is the missing link between Buffy and Twilight, and I think that is a good description.

There’s certainly no lack for films and books centered around the paranormal, and as much as I have enjoyed a little bit of it, I’m ready to move on.

I did catch a glimpse of Mrs. Fredrick from Warehouse 13 though, so that was at least a little bit of fun.

Synopsis:

Clary Fray tumbles into the supernatural world when she visits a club called Pandemonium, and…

‘Now You See Me’ Trailer

‘Now You See Me’ Trailer

Huh. This could be interesting. It certainly has a couple of cast members that make me want to see it: Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Caine, Woody Harrelson.

Also, a film that’s not reboot, prequel, or sequel? Get out! Who would have thought? Those seem to be getting hard to come by.

Here’s some info about the film:

The Four Horsemen, a magic super-group led by the charismatic ATLAS (Jesse Eisenberg), perform a pair of high-tech magic shows, first astonishing audiences by robbing a bank on another continent, and then exposing a white-collar criminal and funneling his millions…

Keith Richards Return to ‘Pirates 5’?

Keith Richards Return to ‘Pirates 5’?
Movie Line

The $3.5 billion Pirates of the Caribbean franchise may see another mega-star reprise in its fifth installment, and it may not just be Johnny Depp. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards may return to the franchise after an invitation from Depp.

Richards has bombarded the franchise in all four installments with his persona alone. Depp made no secret that the superstar musician inspired his flamboyant portrayal of Jack Sparrow since its launch back in 2003 with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

With two great, one decent, and one terrible Pirates film out in…
