Character Profile, Captain Kirk

Character Profile, Captain Kirk

Paramount has a character profile of Captain Kirk for us to feast our eyes upon while way wait (impatiently) for the film to come out.

Kirk is obviously going to have some major things going on in this film, some attitude problems he needs to deal with — he needs to learn how to be the captain that we used to know in the original series. So JJ Abrams and Chris Pine talk us through that struggle a little bit. Plus, film footage, behind the scenes, etc. Check it out.

John Harrison Video Messages (‘Star Trek Into Darkness’)

John Harrison Video Messages (‘Star Trek Into Darkness’)

So John Harrison has been keeping busy sending out visual message (from the future in which the Star Trek alternate universe takes place to our present no less).

First, a few days ago he released one about Captain Kirk, detailing his weaknesses and how he would make sure Kirk’s mistakes would get the entire crew killed.

Then yesterday, he released one about Spock, the emotions he struggled with that might threaten to be his undoing.

Japanese Trailer for ‘The Wolverine’

Japanese Trailer for ‘The Wolverine’

If your excited to see what the X-Men universe has in store for us for the next couple of film, especially with Bryan Singer back at the helm of one of them, then you are not alone. You are in the company of at least me.

This installment is not the one from Bryan Singer, but it looks like it holds potential all the same:

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern-day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world, he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a…

Japanese Trailer for ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’

Japanese Trailer for ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’

And here is the second post on Star Trek for today. This is a Japanese trailer for the upcoming film and it reveals a little bit of new footage that we have not seen yet.

Despite the irritation with J.J.‘s style showing through in my previous posting of the second clip from the film, I am looking forward to this film quite a lot. Therefore, this trailer is exciting and worth watching.

After watching this trailer, you will also want to check out Anthony’s shot by shot of whatever new material is in this trailer. You can do so over here.

Here’s the trailer:

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Clip!

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Clip!

AOL has an exclusive clip from Star Trek Into Darkness and I’ve embedded it right here for your enjoyment.

I have of course, seen this clip already when I went to the sneak peak event held at my local IMAX theater in Nashville (yes, I’m bragging), but now you all can see it. The Prime Directive is in full swing here, which is funny since the Prime Directive was never really fully fleshed out in the original series. Also, it seems like there has always been exceptions for extreme circumstances, like the fact that SPOCK IS GOING TO DIE! if Kirk doesn’t do something.

I will say that I like…

‘Thor 2’ Teaser

‘Thor 2’ Teaser

Here it is boys and girls, a brand new teaser for Thor: The Dark World. Well, the first teaser, the first look at all we’ve had of the film, actually.

Thor: The Dark World will star Chris Hemsworth (of course), Natalie Portman (of course), as well as other returning cast: Kat Dennings, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo, Anthony Hopkins and Tom Hiddleston. Some new faces are Christopher Eccleston and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

This is the trailer that will appear on the big screen ahead of Iron Man 3 but I guess Marvel knew we would all be anxious to get our…

Homemade ‘Star Trek’ Trailer

Homemade ‘Star Trek’ Trailer

The guys at CineFix have done it again. This is not a remake of the most recent (and final) theatrical trailer. I don’t remember for sure, but I think they trailer they are remaking here is theatrical number 2?

In any event, as before, this is pretty awesome! Be sure to see the first one they did if you haven’t yet.

Here’s the trailer:

And here’s the side by side comparison video so you can see how well they replicated each shot:

Clark Gregg Talks Agent Coulson Return

Clark Gregg Talks Agent Coulson Return

Coulson lives! Long live Coulson!

This much we know at least for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the method by which Coulson will be returning is going to have to stay mysterious unfortunately. But that doesn’t mean that Clark Gregg doesn’t have some things to say about it.

I don’t know how you could not change going through what he went through in The Avengers. I think if he hadn’t gone through some kind of change, it wouldn’t be any good. That said, I don’t know if he understands how much he’s changed.

...

Some level of deception must have been perpetrated on the Avengers.…

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ New TV Spot “Go”

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ New TV Spot “Go”

Check out this new TV spot for Star Trek Into Darkness that actually has a couple of shots and some dialog that we have not seen or heard before. Given how much they put in the final theatrical trailer, that’s saying something. I didn’t think we would get any new bits or anything really new at all before the film came out at this point.

After watching the trailer, you may want to head on over to TrekMovie.com to get a little bit of break down and analysis of the new stuff in this trailer.
