‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Honest Trailer

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Honest Trailer

The one we’ve been waiting for is here. I know that while I liked The Dark Knight Rises it was not quite up to the level of the previous two Batman films, certainly in terms of story, and in other ways.

That’s what makes this one so fun. Whereas often, while I find the Honest Trailers amusing, a laugh riot even, I don’t generally agree with the complaints. But I don’t think there is a single thing being criticized in this Honest Trailer that I don’t agree with.

Anyway, it’s fun.

Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer Analysis – Someone Wants Vengeance

Let’s start with the voice over, which is provide by the film’s villain (played by Benedict Cumberbatch):

You think your world is safe? It is an illusion. A comforting lie told to protect you. Enjoy these final moments of peace for I have returned to have my vengeance.

….

So shall we begin?

Firstly, this voice over appears to confirm that “vengeance” is a theme of the film. As reported by TrekMovie.com “Star Trek: Vengeance” was considered as a possible title for the film. Secondly, he is saying he has…

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Teaser Trailer

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Teaser Trailer

Here we are, the promised teaser trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness before the theatrical trailer debuts with The Hobbit on the 14th.

As one might expect, it looks epic. I have a feeling I’m going to like this film better than the last, but we’ll see. The last film had a lot of obligatory reboot stuff, but unfortunately (in my opinion) the reboot wasn’t clean. They tied it to the old Star Trek while wiping the old Star Trek out and informing us this is the new timeline. It was an unfortunately choice in my opinion. But I’m willing to live in this new Star Trek universe now and enjoy it…

Christopher Nolan on ‘Man of Steel’

Christopher Nolan on ‘Man of Steel’
Indie Wire: The Playlist

“It’s very much Zack’s film and I think people are going to love what he’s done,” he continued. “I think it’s really remarkable to take on that character. Superman is a completely different character than Batman. So you can’t in anyway use the same template. But David Goyer had this, I thought, brilliant way to make Superman relatable and relevant for his audience. Zack has built on that and I think it’s incredible what he’s putting together. He’s got a lot of finishing to do on that. Superman is the biggest comic book character of them all and he needs the biggest possible movie version…

‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ Featurette

‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ Featurette

Looking forward to seeing John McClane in action again? Well the wait isn’t much longer, he’ll be appearing on the big screen Februrary 14, 2013, along with his apparently now CIA involved son. And they meet up in, of all places, Moscow.

It should be a lot of fun.

Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 2 Theater Event

Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 2 Theater Event

Nothing has warmed this nerd’s heart in the last couple of months quite as much as the Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 2 Theater Event. It was with much glee and enjoyment that I sat in the theater this past Thursday night and watched the Enterprise D and her crew soar around the cosmos in HD.

Behind the Scenes

First up was a behind the scenes look at the remastering process. To sum up, it’s a long and tedious process. This is not quite the same as remastering Star Trek: The Original Series (TOS) in HD. It’s sort of funny how things work out, but even though the technology used…
