‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ Final Trailer

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ Final Trailer

The final hours of waiting are upon us. In just over 20 days, we’ll get to lay eyes on the beginning of the end of Katiniss’ struggle against the tyrannical Capitol of Panem. Those of us who have read the books are hoping that Francis Lawrence and his writing team can bring a bit more cohesion and sense to the story. But I have a lot of hope after the great film that was The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The other thing of course is that, while the story is fantasy, it sometimes seems to have haunting familiarity as we look upon our own society. No allegory is ever a one to one match, but…

Kevin Feige Proclaims End of ‘Age of Ultron’ “Alters” ‘Avengers’ Roster

Kevin Feige Proclaims End of ‘Age of Ultron’ “Alters” ‘Avengers’ Roster
Kevin Jagernauth — The Playlist

“The Avengers films, ideally, in the grand plan are always big, giant linchpins,” Feige said. “It’s like as it was in publishing, when each of the characters would go on their own adventures and then occasionally team up for a big, 12-issue mega-event. Then they would go back into their own comics, and be changed from whatever that event was. I envision the same thing occurring after this movie, because the [Avengers] roster is altered by the finale of this film.”

It’s an intriguing comment, particularly given what Robert Downey Jr. shared with Screen Rant about the ending of the…

New ‘Paddington’ Trailer, Now Featuring Ben Whishaw

New ‘Paddington’ Trailer, Now Featuring Ben Whishaw

The upcoming Paddington feature film took a bit of a set-back when Colin Firth left the project. Apparently neither party felt that his voice was working for the bear or the context of the film. But this is apparently a job Q (from James Bond) can handle. Ben Whishaw, who plays Q opposite Daniel Craig’s Bond, is now voicing the fanciful bear in the latest trailer for the film, which is scheduled ot hit U.K. theaters on November 28, and U.S. theaters on January 16 of next year.

In addition to Ben Whishaw, the film stars the likes of Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim…

How the ‘Age of Ultron’ Teaser Should Have Ended

The HISHE guys don’t seem to put out nearly as many How it Should Have Endeds as they used to, so when they do release something, it’s kind of a special treat.

In this one, prepare to have your childhood ruined, or the childhood of your, well, children with the more recent Disney films.

Jason Snell’s Thoughts on the Marvel/DC Upcoming Films

Jason Snell’s Thoughts on the Marvel/DC Upcoming Films
Jason Snell — Six Colors

Two weeks ago Warner Bros./DC Comics got its act together and announced its cinematic counter attack to the success of Marvel’s movies.

The studio announced ten movies stretching out to 2020, including “Batman v Superman” (I think it’s about a Supreme Court case?), “Wonder Woman,” a two-part “Justice League” movie, “The Flash,” and an attempt to repair the damage done by “Green Lantern.”

Today Marvel counterattacked with its own announcement of a movie schedule that stretches out to 2019.

I love being able to link to Jason Snell — who’s writing I have admired for a while — now that’s…

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Extended Teaser Sequence

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Extended Teaser Sequence

This is the extended sequence and trailer that aired (as far as I understand) with Agents of SHIELD last night. The teaser trailer portion that follows the teaser sequence appears to be the same trailer we have already seen — starting right after the Marvel logo in that trailer.

The teaser sequence here is pretty fun. It’s great to see the banter between the Avengers — maybe we can assume that they’ve had some small battle and victory over something. At the very end is when the big bad, or what will be the big bad, shows up. The scene has very much the feel of a Joss Whedon creation and I’m…

Find out all you need to know about ‘Kill The Messenger’! Joe was able to see the film even though it was in limited release, and so he breaks it down for us. TJ was not able to see the film because it was not showing anywhere in Nashville. But Joe fills him and you in. Also don’t miss a lot of discussion about the ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ teaser trailer, TJ’s decision to buy an Amazon Fire Stick, and ‘The Hunger Games; Catching Fire’ on Netflix in time for you to get caught up before the next installment hits theaters.

First Trailer for ‘Star Wars VII’ Coming This Year?

First Trailer for ‘Star Wars VII’ Coming This Year?
Germain Lussier — Film

Interstellar, Inherent Vice, Guardians of the Galaxy… as excited as I was for all those films coming into 2014, the thing I’m still most looking forward to is the Star Wars Episode VII teaser trailer. The problem is, with the film hitting in December 2015, the odds of that trailer coming out this year seem really slim. Some new buzz is circling the Internet, however, that not only says that director J.J. Abrams has already cut a trailer, but that John Williams is writing music for it, and it’ll be out at some point before the end of the year. Is that possible? Below, we’ll present the rumor…
