It’s pretty safe to say that I hate sports. Well okay, some sports are tolerable when I’m the one doing the playing. But I cannot stand watching sports on TV, and I can barely stand watching most sports in person on the sidelines. I know that this puts in me in the bottom 10th of a group of less than 1% of the citizens of the United States of America, but I can’t help it. I just don’t like sports and never have.

Unfortunately the bulk of the picture is cut together like a beer commercial on poorly lit cheap video without much panache. Unless primary colors with a gauzy halo is panache. Can’t be sure. Nor can you be sure if Sly is wearing tons of lipstick in some shots. (It’s really, really bad video.)

There’s a place for “Bullet to the Head” and that’s on Superstation at 3 AM when you stumble home from the bar and have enough sense not to start drunk dialing. In 1993.

Did you know that July 15 will mark the 25th anniversary of the releast  of the original Die Hard? Well neither did I until just now. And in honor of that fact, Fox has released the 25th Anniversary Die Hard Collection on Blu-ray. The set has quite a few bonus features I’m given to undersand, including one called Bad to the Bone and I’ve got a sample of that one for you.

Personally, Alan Rickman’s Hans Gruber is still the best but Jeremy Irons takes a close second.
