Surely I can’t be the only one. I guess you could say the film is set in the future and is about a man that falls in love with his artificial intelligence OS. But I can’t even begin to describe it so you should just watch it. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Chris Pratt, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde and (the voice of) Scarlett Johansson.
In this episode, TJ and Chad talk about the latest movie trailer including, trailers and clips from ‘Elysium’, a clip from ‘The Frozen Ground’, new trailers for ‘Agents of SHIELD’, Clips and featurettes for ‘JOBS’, a new ‘Riddick’ trailer, ‘Ender’s Game’ Trailer 2, ‘Muppets Most Wanted’, and ‘Thor: The Dark World’. There’s also an extended version of ‘The Hobbit’ coming to Blu-ray (TJ wonders didn’t we already see the extended version in the theaters?), ‘Pacific Rim’s’ chances for a sequel are increased with the good reception in China, James Cameron plans to make 3 sequels to ‘Avatar’, more ‘Bourne’ without Bourne, Chris McQuarrie will direct ‘MI:5’, and ‘Indiana Jones’ may make a 5th appearance. It looks like Clary Fray (Lily Collins) is in for a rude awakening about the world around her in this 5 minute clip of a kitchen brawel with a demon from the upcoming The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. I’m hoping this film is going to be good. The action is certainly intense, and it’s looking like they are doing some human drama and relationship building so I have somewhat high hopes for this film.
We’ll get to see it on August 21st.
After the “Hollow Crown” session, the TCA couldn’t help ask Hiddleston if he would be open to reprising his Thor and Avengers role of Loki in an episode of the “S.H.I.E.L.D.” series. Whedon told us yesterday that he would consider asking Marvel movie stars to do episodes if it makes sense for the story. Hiddleston agreed.
“It would be something that would depend upon script and story but yeah, of course,” said Hiddleston.
And this right after I said on the Podcast last night (episode coming up to be posted very soon this morning) that I didn’t think we would see much, if any, Marvel movie…

So it seems like Loki is going to play a pretty big part in this film. And Jane’s life is still in question, but Thor promises he’s going to find a way to save us all!
I didn’t think the first Thor film was that great, but I’m really looking forward to this one, it looks like it should be excellent. This will be the second installment in the Marvel, Phase Two story (the first was Iron Man 3) and it’s all leading up, of course, to The Avengers: The Age of Ultron, which I couldn’t be more excited about. This is a good time for Marvel!

We’ve heard Paul Ruebens talk about a new Pee-Wee Herman movie for years. There’s long been a script that he’s been writing and rewriting (with Paul Rust) under the watchful eye of producer Judd Apatow. But it’s been quite a while since we’ve heard anything real — years, in fact. With Ruebens doing press for The Smurfs 2, however, the actor is saying that Pee-Wee should be back in force in 2014.
Speaking to the LA Times, Reubens confided that a director has been chosen for the new Pee-Wee movie and that the script and financing are in place.
So, this Kruger guy looks a little nuts, right? He sure sounds strange, what kind of accent is that anyway.
I will say if you are avoiding spoilers, I think these clips and featurettes cross the line and you probably don’t want to watch them. I just don’t trust studios to keep spoilers out of our hands these days.

You know, I’m trying not to turn into the grumpy old man who always hates all the new everythings, but I just don’t get this whole Muppets thing. I mean I watched The Muppets when I was a kid (and more importantly, I watched Muppet Babies — yeah, yeah, I know… but there is this gem! [pro-tip: watch all three parts), but I don’t see the appeal of the feature film thing. I guess technically there have been lots of feature films, I’m just more familiar with the TV incarnations, but whatever, don’t confuse me with facts!
In any event, we’re about to get a new Muppet movie and I’ve got a trailer…
