Joss Whedon Discusses Agent Coulson

Joss Whedon Discusses Agent Coulson
Angie Han - /Film

Well, Whedon isn’t spilling all the details, but he has since clarified one major piece of information. Coulson really and truly is back on the team in S.H.I.E.L.D., though we don’t know how quite yet. Hit the jump to keep reading.

Whedon and Gregg were at SXSW this past weekend promoting their latest project together, Much Ado About Nothing. Whedon first attempted to explain, jokingly, how Coulson might have recovered from his violent end in Loki’s hands. “I’ll tell you guys this. Heimlich,” he quipped. He then got a bit more serious, confirming that Coulson is alive and kicking again…

Joss Whedon Talks ‘Star Wars’

Joss Whedon Talks ‘Star Wars’

Joss Whedon mentioned Star Wars!!!! OMG YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, wasn’t it in the back of all the fan boys’ minds that it would be fun to see Joss direct a Star Wars film? I mean, he would have been interested if not for his commitments to The Avengers 2.

So recently, Joss talked for about 10 seconds about Star Wars saying that he wouldn’t go back, he’d go forward and he wouldn’t want to have the original characters in the film. So put me in the category that I’m glad he’s not doing it then. Yes, yes, I know. But what I want to see is a send off for the first of…

Sam Raimi Doesn’t Plan to Direct ‘Oz’ Sequel

Sam Raimi Doesn’t Plan to Direct ‘Oz’ Sequel
Coming Soon

Oz The Great and Powerful is now in theaters, arriving just after yesterday’s news that Walt Disney Pictures has brought aboard Mitchell Kapner to draft a sequel. In an interview with Bleeding Cool, however, director Sam Raimi reveals that he doesn’t plan on making a return visit to Oz.

“I haven’t planned on directing the sequel,” Raimi says. “I did leave some loose ends for another director if they want to make the picture… I was attracted to this story but I don’t think the second one would have the thing I would need to get me interested.”

Well, that’s kind of too bad. I liked Oz…

New ‘Upside Down’ Clip.

New ‘Upside Down’ Clip.

I don’t know, I am strangely looking forward to this, but I have this feeling I’m going to be greatly disapointed.

In this clip, Adam appears to be escaping with Eden to his side of the two worlds. Adam is played by Jim Sturgess, and Eden by Kirsten Dunst. The film opens on March 15th, but only to limited theaters, which will be annoying.

Ever since Adam and Eden fell in love as teens, their bond has faced astronomical odds. They are separated by a freak planetary condition: they live on twinned worlds with gravities that pull in opposite directions—he on the poverty-stricken planet…

TrekMovie Shot By Shot on the New ‘Into Darkness’ Trailer

TrekMovie Shot By Shot on the New ‘Into Darkness’ Trailer
Anthony Pascale - TrekMovie.com

The new alternate teaser trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness has a surprising amount of new footage and dialog in it. And so as we do with all new trailers and previews, TrekMovie takes an in depth shot-by-shot look at the alternate trailer. Find out what’s inside the trailer below, but beware of Spoilers.

Head on over to check out Anthony’s shot by shot on the new trailer. I always look forward to these so I can geek out about it.

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Teaser Trailer #2

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Teaser Trailer #2

This is the trailer that I saw attached to Oz the Great and Powerful. I have to admit I’m liking the looks of this film. I still figure it will be more flash and stule and less substance than I care for (my favorite Star Trek film, and even one of my favorite all time films is still Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn), but I think (think) this is going to be better than the previous Star Trek film my J.J. Abrams. It doesn’t really look like I’m going to get my wish for less lens flares thoough. Like I said, J.J. likes to go for the flashy, whiz-bang and his movies are often the worse for it.

‘Burt Wonderstone’ Promo

‘Burt Wonderstone’ Promo

This latest “trailer” is more a promo in disguise as an ad for a casino performance. I’m still not sure what I think of this film, or what I’m going to think of it. I don’t like 3 of the 4 lead actors, the three I don’t like being Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, and Steve Buscemi. Or rather, depending upon the context I can tolerate them (for instance, Get Smart starred Carell, but I enjoyed it, and The Island featured Steve Buscemi, not as a lead, but in a fairly prominent part, and I like that film a lot too, but these are exceptions to the rule). I do like Olivia Wilde in the few things I have…
