Iran is planning to sue Hollywood over the Oscar-winning Argo because of the movie’s allegedly “unrealistic portrayal” of the country, Iranian media reported Tuesday.

Officially Benedict Cumberbatch’s villain in Star Trek Into Darkness has been identified as John Harrison, a “terrorist” from “within Starfleet.” But that hasn’t stopped speculation that there is more to him than that. So Weta Workshop has a VFX Reel, and it’s as awesome as you might imagine. Frankly, I’m not sure at this point why Weta needs a reel, everone knows who they are and that they do magnificient VFX work, but I suppose even the best feel the need to showcase their work for the world. And I love that they show some of the modeling and sculpting work that goes into all of it too. It’s not just the CGI, there a lot of other work that goes into their stuff too.

But producer Joe Roth says the Great and Powerful sequel “would absolutely not” involve Dorothy.

Roth said as much to the LA Times, and screenwriter Mitchell Kapner added “It’s 20 years before Dorothy arrives,” he said. “A lot can happen in that time.”

There’s a hint in Oz the Great and Powerful that one character seen in Kansas is related to Dorothy, with the suggestion being that she’ll eventually be the girl’s mother. From there it’s easy to guess that Disney was paving the way to introduce its own version of Dorothy. But that may have to wait for a third film, assuming such a thing…

However, what is really interesting about this Spanish promotional poster is the tagline at the bottom. The text at the bottom translates to say, “Also enjoy an exclusive preview of Thor The Dark World.” Since Iron Man 3 opens in some countries as early as April 26, 2013, it means fans will definitely see a Thor The Dark World trailer in April.
