Joseph Gordon-Levitt Batman - To Be, or Not to Be?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Batman - To Be, or Not to Be?

Yesterday, I posted a link to the story on HitFix.com that Joseph Gordon-Levitt may be picking up the mantle of Batman for Justice League, and possibly have a cameo in Man of Steel. Personally, though I didn’t say it, I thought that with Nolan involved in Man of Steel, and the fact that he considers Batman all wrapped up, it seems unlikely the cameo in Man of Steel, has any truth to it. But the Justice League thing seemed a possibility.

Well now the movie related Internet is abuzz with news that Gordon-Levitt’s reps have refuted this rumor entirely. Hollywood.com reports:

On Tuesday,…

Life of Pi — Review

3 of 5 stars
Life of Pi

A film adaptation of a supposedly “unfilmable” novel, Ang Lee’s Life of Pi achieves the supposed impossible — it’s an astonishing technical work that’s also emotionally inciting.

Life of Pi is a 2012 American adventure drama film based on Yann Martel’s 2001 novel of the same name. Directed by Ang Lee, the film is based on an adapted screenplay by David Magee, and stars Irrfan Khan, Gérard Depardieu, Tabu, Suraj Sharma, and Adil Hussain. Visual effects are by Rhythm & Hues Studios.

Critics and the public are loving Pi, and this comes at no surprise. The characterization of the zoo…

Veronica Belmont, ‘Looper’ Fact or Fictional?

Veronica Belmont, ‘Looper’ Fact or Fictional?

Veronica Belmont explores the possibilities of time travel and whether Looper could really happen or not. Personally, I put it squarely in the fictional realm and enjoy it on that level, but apparently Veronica’s guest, Dr. Ronald Mallett calls time travel a scientific possibility.

This one is a lot of fun. Enjoy.

Corey Kinda Likes ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’

Corey Kinda Likes ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’
Reel Quick

Before you scoff, I have a confession to make: this is a surprisingly enjoyable film. Not great, or even very good, but lots of fun all the same. Walker does an excellent job as the axe-weilding Abe, and director Bekmambetov knows how to stage crazy, visually-arresting freeform action sequences like nobody’s business.

I think it probable that Corey has lost his mind. But, I suppose I’ll have to give this film a viewing sooner or later. Bleh.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Make Appearance as Batman?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Make Appearance as Batman?
HitFix

According to sources, Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in “Justice League” as the new Batman.

Now here’s where things get interesting.  The more insistent the drumbeat has become, the more poking around I’ve been doing, and it’s looking like we may see Gordon-Levitt in the suit earlier than that.  They’re a long way from filming anything “Justice League” related, but they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do… something.

So let’s take what we know and speculate a little bit.  How…
