How The Amazing Spiderman Should Have Ended

How The Amazing Spiderman Should Have Ended

A good friend at Carpe Seizure brought this hilarious video to my attention. It’s funny whether you’ve seen The Amazing Spiderman or not, and there aren’t any real spoilers in it (in my opinion) but it’s much funnier if you have seen the movie and enjoyed it. Watch:

If you haven’t already heard of HISHE, it is short for “How It Should Have Ended.” It’s a YouTube channel that represents some of the most amusing twists on Hollywood films.

Hey, speaking of Marel super heroes, if you write a comment on this entry about The Avengers, you’ll be entered to win a Blu-ray of the movie! If you…

Shakespeare In The Park

Shakespeare In The Park

In this episode, TJ and Joseph discuss Skyfall - The upcoming ‘Bond’ film, the new TV series from J.J. Abrams, ‘Revolution’ and how TJ has probably jinxed the series because shows he likes get canceled, the upcoming straight to DVD release with actor Bruce Willis ‘Fire with Fire’, and the main topic, ‘The Avengers’. TJ and Joseph heap loads of praise on this glorious film, the writing, the dialog, Joss Whedon as well as discuss the backstory with the preceding films and what did and didn’t work in them, how TJ liked the previous incarnation of ‘The Hulk’ and Joseph did not, their favorite lines in the film, whether it is better than Christopher Nolan’s Batman films and much more.

How Time Travel Works

How Time Travel Works

Did you ever wonder how Time Travel works? Surely with Looper being out in Theaters now you need a primer.

Well I’m not actually sure this video will really help explain things, but it is pretty a fun mashup. It uses clips from just about every popular film that includes time travel. Film clips in this video include “Primer,” “12 Monkeys,” “The Terminator,” “Timecrimes,” and more.

Time travel films are fraught with peril!

Check out these completely new set photos from the upcoming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie! This time all eyes on Donald Sutherland a.k.a. President Snow, who definitely rocks! Sutherland was spotted filming a scene on the set of Francis Lawrence‘s film in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday.

I have high hopes for this film, which means it is surely doomed. But we’ll see.

‘The Hobbit’ and HFR

‘The Hobbit’ and HFR

I missed linking to this piece below last week during actual Tolkien Week but it’s worth talking about so I decided to make a little article out of it. I don’t mind talking about the HFR controversy.

Advent Filmmakers:

But Peter Jackson’s decision to use HFR (high frame rate) cinematography on this production has cause no little stir in the cinematic community. Some are lauding it as the next great step out of the dark ages, while others are decrying its “television-like” quality, and still others are wondering if his experiment will go the way of similar experiments in the 70s (if you…

‘Fringe’ Final Season Promo Poster

We’ve got an exclusive first look at the group reunited in this season five promo shot. It’s time to fight for the future, y’all!

In the shot, our beloved cast stands defiantly together in front of a wall plastered with anti-Observer messages such as “End the Oppression.”  Included in the shot along with Anna TorvJosh JacksonJohn Noble and Jasika Nicole are Lance Reddick as…

‘Cloud Atlas’ TV Spots and Posters

‘Cloud Atlas’ TV Spots and Posters

Warner Bros. has revealed two more TV spots and 7 epic looking banners for the upcoming Cloud Atlas.

They’re definitely cranking the volume up to 11 on the advertising and expectations. I remain unconvinced that the film will be worthy of the hype. As Joseph pointed out in the comments on my previous Cloud Atlas entry, they are definitely in risky territory trying to sell audiences on a Star Wars scale mythology. It will either work extremely well for them or backfire in a big way. I don’t think there is any in between.

We have even more Skyfall images, which means more Bond, or if you prefer – moreDaniel Craig for all Bond’s fans out there! This time, much better look at both Craig and his gorgeous co-star Berenice Marlohe, and trust me – you don’t want to miss the action!

Sam Mendes‘ movie is the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. Only, this time, Bond will have a completely new job, because, apparently, inSkyfall, his loyalty to M will be tested as her past comes back to haunt her.

As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how…

Interview with ‘Revolution’s’ Elizabeth Mitchell

Interview with ‘Revolution’s’ Elizabeth Mitchell
TV Line

The following contains spoilers from this Monday’s episode of NBC’s Revolution.

In just its second episode, NBC’s Revolution this Monday night answered a huge question that was on many a fan’s mind: Why would you hire the always awesome Elizabeth Mitchell to appear only in flashbacks?

Answer: You don’t, because Charlie’s mother, Rachel Matheson, is in fact alive and well. Or at least alive, based on a reveal that capped Week 2 of the adventure drama.

And yet with that not-entirely-surprising twist comes new questions, such as: Where and for how long has Rachel been held captive? What…

The Avengers — Review

4.5 of 5 stars
The Avengers

Finally, the film is here on DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes, and more, giving me an excuse to review it! The year is not over yet and it is possible that this could change, but I doubt it — I think it’s safe to say that The Avengers will be my favorite film this year. Indeed, Avengers is currently my favorite super-hero movie, taking away my personal top spot from Batman Begins. I admit that perhaps I have a little bias working in favor of the film as I have been a fan of Whedon’s work since before he was the cool new filmmaker on the block, but I like to think that all the same, my opinion…
