‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Trailer

‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Trailer

You know, I’m trying not to turn into the grumpy old man who always hates all the new everythings, but I just don’t get this whole Muppets thing. I mean I watched The Muppets when I was a kid (and more importantly, I watched Muppet Babies — yeah, yeah, I know… but there is this gem! [pro-tip: watch all three parts), but I don’t see the appeal of the feature film thing. I guess technically there have been lots of feature films, I’m just more familiar with the TV incarnations, but whatever, don’t confuse me with facts!

In any event, we’re about to get a new Muppet movie and I’ve got a trailer…

‘Jobs’ — 6 Clips and Featurette

‘Jobs’ — 6 Clips and Featurette

You know, I’m still looking forward to this, even if it does look like they are over dramatizing certain aspects. I mean it is a film after all, what else would you expect them to do?

The real question for me is do they get what Steve and Apple were all about? Do they get what the real drivers behind the digital revolution were? Walter Isaacson sure didn’t, I hope the writers and producers behind this do better.

Oh, I’ll also say this: As great as Ashton Kutcher works and looks as a younger Steve Jobs, he doesn’t look so great as older Steve Jobs. He’s very obviously wearing fake facial…

‘Agents of SHEILD’ Questions Answered

‘Agents of SHEILD’ Questions Answered
Megan Masters - TV Line

The cast and producers of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., led by prolific EP Joss Whedon, on Sunday granted members of the Television Critics Assoc. Level 7 access to scoop and (very light) spoilers from the hotly-anticipated ABC drama, which bows Sept. 24 at 8/7c.

RESURRECTION | Acknowledging theAvengers’ death of Clark Gregg‘s now-very-much-alive Agent Coulson, exec producer Jeph Loeb admitted, “There was never going to be a show called Marvel’sAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D. without Clark.” The actor, for his part, shared that he didn’t want his character’s resurrection to be “anything that…

Three New ‘Agents of SHIELD’ Trailers!

Three New ‘Agents of SHIELD’ Trailers!

I haven’t been this excited for a TV show in a very long time. And just furthering my appetite are these three new trailers that ABC has just released for the upcoming super-hero TV show.

I have to say though that I just realized that there may be a slight similarity to Heroes, but I’m trying to think how much. The heroes of Heroes were reluctant and scared, and the world was finding out about them. And there was an organization to ostensibly work with them, and help them. But the more I think of it the more I think the similarities are only surface deep. I did enjoy that show a lot, but I’m…

‘Super Cafe: Versus’

NAILED IT!

The guys over at HISHE have something to say about the upcoming Batman/Superman film. I’m telling you, I love these guys, they have so much fun and make such cool stuff.

I’m voting for the title, Man of Steel, The Punch from Space that Exploded Batman’s Internal Organs! But that’s just me.

‘Episode VII’ — Story and Character More Important Than Effects

‘Episode VII’ — Story and Character More Important Than Effects
Daniel Krupa - IGN

Executive producer Kathleen Kennedy has given an update on the production of Episode VII at Star Wars Celebration Europe.

Kennedy revealed she is currently dividing her time between Lucasfilm – where she’s sat in George’s old office, by the way – and Bad Robot, where she’s busy having extensive story meetings with J.J. Abrams and the rest of the writing team, including Empire Strikes Back scribe Lawrence Kasdan. And that emphasis on story and character came up repeatedly during today’s panel, hosted by Warwick Davis.

“The story and characters are all we’re talking about right now,” said…

John Williams Officially Returning to Score New ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy

John Williams Officially Returning to Score New ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy

Legendary film composer (and personal favorite) John Williams has officially confirmed his involvement in the new Star Wars trilogy, with the first entry being directed by JJ Abrams and premiering in 2015!

In a video posted on the official Star Wars YouTube channel, 81-year-old Williams talks about how he has always loved composing the scores for these films and how he still feels like he’s in the “galaxy far, far away.” I must admit that, while I knew that he would compose the score for Episode VII, I was willing to bet money that Abrams’ regular collaborator, Michael Giacchino, would take…

Speaking of ‘Pacific Rim’ - Fact or Fictional on the Robots

Speaking of ‘Pacific Rim’ - Fact or Fictional on the Robots

Wondering whether Guillermo del Toro’s robots are a possiblity? Fact or just fictional as it were? Well wonder no more because Veronica Belmont is here to answer the question for you. She’ll let us know if we’ll be able to pull something like this off in case of alien invasion or whether we’ll be completely left hung out to dry… grim prospects indeed.

‘Pacific Rim 2’ Would Feature Jaeger/Kaiju Hybrid

‘Pacific Rim 2’ Would Feature Jaeger/Kaiju Hybrid

It’s kind of looking like we may never see a second Pacific Rim since it’s doing far worse what what was expected, at least domestically. It’s doing a little better internationally. But I still say that profits so far are definitely a bit disappointing.

But if there is a second Pacific Rim film, a sequel, we might get to see some interesting things:

I’ll tell you a couple of things. We will have Gipsy 2.0 for sure. We will have Gipsy 2.0 for sure. Second thing is you’re gonna see a merging of Kaiju and Jaeger. And that is quite special.

Just think about it for a second. We sent Gipsy to…
