Because Iron Man is awesome and he deserves a better film than the travesty that was Iron Man 2. But I think that was just a hiccup in the machine that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I think we’re in smooth sailing territory now. I sure hope so. I want this to be a good film.

And this look good to me. Also, can that guy jump into that Iron Man suit or what? It’s like become a thing with Stark, jumping from heights and getting suited up in the air.

I love films as much as anybody, but I often get annoyed by how overly unrealistic many things are portrayed. Computers are the worst offenders often. It’s one thing to portray unrealistic things in Sci-Fi, but it’s another to portray them wrong in more real to life scenarios. I especially love all the bleeps and bloops computers made as on screen actors interact with touch screens (that aren’t really touch screens) and the little digital scrolling noises browsers make as they scroll (if my computer really made that noise I would turn it off so fast…).

At around the same time Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s bill to ban the sale of bathtub-sized containers of soft-drinks rich in high fructose corn syrup was blocked, “Identity Thief” crossed the $120 million mark in box office receipts. You may think me crazy, or may think I’m jesting, but one of the most fun parts of Oz the Great and Powerful was the opening title sequence. It was very nice stylistically and was a great way to open up the film.

Now the opening title sequence has been released on YouTube for your viewing pleasure straight from Disney. I suppose this is a way to generate even more interest in the film, but it’s fun for me and you for sure.

Awesome stuff here. I can’t wait for this one. And I love that they are doing more things as practical effects than some might do. When possible to do, practical effects, physical set pieces etc. are still better.
