I’m not sure what’s up with the first clip using the track Ron’s Victory from the soundtrack of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, but it’s a little bit strange. I guess that’s the problem with being so familar with certain various soundtracks. Other than that though, How to Train Your Dragon 2 looks fantastic and I can’t wait to see it.

Perhaps somewhat infamously to my readership, I have only recently watched How to Train Your Dragon and I thought it was fantastic. So I hope this one is just as good!

I can’t say I’m all that excited for this film. I finally got around to seeing Rise of the Planet of the Apes and it was fine. And I’m sure this one will be fine. But I am having a hard time seeing how I’m going to like this film as much without a couple of the characters that made the previous film what it was. Yes, Ceaser was a big part of that film, but so was Will Rodman. Why isn’t he in this film. It’s kind of annoying. We’re getting close now. Just a couple more weeks and we’ll finally get to see this film that looks like it’s going to be wonderful!

There’s also starting to be some buzz from critics and pre-screenings that it’s as great a film as it looks. And I couldn’t be more excited to see the franchise back in good hands under Bryan Singer.

To keep your hopes up, here’s the clip I promised in the headline.

Goodness, someone needs to tell Disney that they’re being a little bit disrespectful of their prospective audience at this point. It’s like, “we don’t think you’ve been getting the message we’ve been sending so let us explain it all to you like your a 5 year old kid.

This is the first trailer or TV spot from this film that I have not really enjoyed.

This is hilarious. And, let’s face it, while Attack of the Clones was a way better film than The Phantom Menace, it still only makes it to like a 2.5 out of 5 stars on my own scale. And every one of the criticisms in this trailer hit way to close to home. Hayden Christensen really can’t act — or at least, he didn’t in the Star Wars series. Natalie Portman can act, but the dialog she was forced to say in these films was beyond bad. And it’s hard to act…

One of the things that made seeing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 most worth my while was seeing an action sequence from the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. I’m not really sure how Sony got roped in to doing the promotional work for Twentieth Century Fox but I loved seeing it. I continue to be more and more confident that this upcoming X-Men film is exactly what I’ve been wanting from the franchise for many years. And hopefully with the time travel stuff going on, we can just wipe X-Men: The Last Stand from existence — it’s just too bad we can’t wipe it from our memories as well.

The trouble…

I’m really tired of the prequels and origin stories, guys. That said, this does look kind of interesting. It has obvious similarities to the original story we saw for Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins and quite obvious differences — not unlike (I can’t believe I’m about to make this comparison) with Lois and Clark (believe me, that caused me as much or more pain than you) did with Superman where there were obvious similarities and obvious differerences from the origin story given to us in Superman: The Movie. And it sure looks like, unlike Lois and Clark, Gotham, will actually be good — as well as…

We had a pretty good look at the beast in the last trailer, but this clip really lingers and shows Godzilla in all his glory.

The weird thing about this clip though, is the flying thing which does not appear to be Godzilla (I would think he’d be too heave to fly anyway). Admitedly I know nothing (as in, quite litterally, NOTHING) about Godzilla, and so I have no idea what this flying dragon like animal is and if he/she is new or if I should already know what it is.

Rebbots are the thing right now. Every studio is rummaging around in their chest of wonders for something to bring back tot he screen. Who needs original content anymore? We’ve got things to reboot. To be sure, some of the reboots have made me very happy, and some, not so much.

I am quite certain this one will dissapoint me, but that’s not because I have some affinity for the Turtles. Indeed, I can barely remember the cartoon and I’ve never seen the movie.
