Infographic: Just How Big Are The Jaegers from ‘Pacific Rim’?

Did you ever wonder why there is an Internet? I don’t know about you, but sometimes I sit around and ponder these existential questions. Why am I here, what is the meaning of life, why does it always rain when I need to mow the grass, why is water wet, why is there an Internet. You know, all the important things.

Well, I have found the very reason that the internet exists and I have it here for you now. Over on this Reddit thread is where I found it. It shows how big the Jaegers are in comparison to other well known things. And, well, those things are FREAKING HUGE!

Here, take a look…

How ‘Man of Steel’ Should Have Ended

How ‘Man of Steel’ Should Have Ended

Nail, meet hammer head! These seem so much more poignant when I hate the movie that they are about I guess.

In any event, obviously you should probably have watch Man of Steel before you see this, but I highly recommend it. This would have solved a number of my problems with Man of Steel! The problem is, the film would have been far shorter. What the film really needed was a real script. Alas, we didn’t get that…

Well, enjoy this anyway.

Why Ashton Kutcher Chose to Play Steve Jobs

Why Ashton Kutcher Chose to Play Steve Jobs
Jordan Golson - MacRumors

Ahead of its debut, actor Ashton Kutcher has taken to the Q&A site Quora to explain why he chose to take on the role of Steve Jobs.

Choosing to take this role was very difficult. I greatly admire the work that Steve Jobs has done and have many friends and colleagues who knew and/or worked for Steve. So, when I read a screen play that was not entirely flattering to his character I had great reservations.  But I chose to take on the role for a couple reasons.

1. I care. As I read the script I had a knot in my stomach. I imagined actors playing the role and not connecting to the love…

‘Pacific Rim’ - No Director’s Cut, But There Were 3 Endings

‘Pacific Rim’ - No Director’s Cut, But There Were 3 Endings
Kevin Jagernauth - The Playlist

As Del Toro tells Badass Digest, he filmed three different scenarios for the concluding moments with Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi. “When I was working on the movie we had three or four different versions of the relationship between Charlie and Rinko because I wanted to see if I could make a story about two people liking each other without having to end in a kiss,” he explained. “So when I shot the ending we shot three versions. I’ve never done this before, but instinctively I thought we should do three versions. We did one version where they kiss and it almost felt weird. They’re good…

J.J. May Direct Next ‘Star Trek’ Film After All?

J.J. May Direct Next ‘Star Trek’ Film After All?
Lucien - BuzzHub

When asked about his role as Spock in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek films, Quinto told the audience:

Star Trek 3 should be filming, I suppose, next year. It’s going to be made a lot quicker than the last one. That’s the plan, although nothing is confirmed yet.

Wow, if that’s true they are anxious to get this next film out the door. Of course I do think part of the reason Star Trek Into Darkness didn’t do as well as hoped is because it came so long after the first one and the hype had died down a bit. So maybe the momentum will help.

At one point in the interview, Quinto mentioned that…

‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Teaser

‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Teaser

I never saw the first one but apparently people liked it and it did well at the box office and all that jaz so they’re making a couple more. So since I don’t really know anything about it, I’ll just quote the official synopsis and embed the teaser below:

The thrilling second chapter of the epic How To Train Your Dragon trilogy brings back the fantastical world of Hiccup and Toothless five years later. While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island’s new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies,…

New ‘Planes’ Trailer

New ‘Planes’ Trailer

Hey, guess what, I’m still not super interested or excited about this film. I’m not sure what the story is, it seems to lack cohesion. The only thing the trailer showcases is the humor. There does not seem to be any heart or story in this trailer. It’s just not adding up for me. I sure hope I’m wrong but something sure seems like it’s missing here.

The AVL Can’t Stop Gru! - Box Office Report, July 14th

The AVL Can’t Stop Gru! - Box Office Report, July 14th

Silas Sheepsbutt Ramsbottom and the AVL have been unable to apprehend Gru after he stole the cash from the box office last weekend. What’s worse, he snuck in under their noses and did it again, and made the top spot for the second weekend in a row. What’s worse, Gru beat out one of the big budget summer blockbusters, Pacific Rim. I guess Gru doesn’t too much care if we stop the Kaiju and humanity survives…

Martin Freeman Completes ‘Hobbit’ Filming

Martin Freeman Completes ‘Hobbit’ Filming
ComingSoon.net

Peter Jackson has announced that Martin Freeman has completed his shots for the next two “Hobbit” films and the filmmaker included two photos from the set.

“Tonight Martin Freeman finished his last shot as Bilbo Baggins. The end of an incredible two and a half years. I cannot imagine anyone else in this role - a character that Martin has nurtured and crafted with love and great skill.

Not huge or earth-shattering news or anything like that, but worth noting.

Hugh Jackman Really Wants in on ‘The Avengers’

Hugh Jackman Really Wants in on ‘The Avengers’
Kevin Jagernauth - The Playlist

“I literally asked the same question the other day to Tom from Marvel who works with all the other studios, he works with Sony and Fox, that’s his job to liaise. I said, ‘Man, can this happen?’ and he goes ‘Look, it’s not gonna be easy because you’re working with different studios and they’re their properties,’ ” he explained. ” But I believe—maybe I’m optimistic, I understand at Marvel they’ve got ‘The Avengers,’ they’ve got a lot of big things going on, but at some point I just find it almost impossible that there’s not a way to bring Iron Man, all the Avengers characters, Wolverine,…
