There are several new trailers out this week including trailers for ‘Man of Steel’, ‘The Wolverine’, ‘The Lone Ranger’, and ‘Byzantium’. TJ wrote a review for ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ as well as discussed it on ‘The MovieByte Podcast’ with Anthony Pascale and Joe Darnell. I’m thinking Star Trek Into Darkness may still be the best thing to see in theaters this week as far as I’m concerned. The new releases this weekend are not looking great. I’ll be seeing Epic because we’re reviewing it on the Podcast next week, and because I’m mildly interested, and because I’ve already seen Star Trek Into Darkness twice.

Are you ready for some good old Pixar fun? I am, and Monsters University seems like it ought to be able to deliver. If Pixar has sequelitis (it’s a real thing, trust me), then I’m glad it has reached the vital organ called Monsters. As with most Pixar films, Monsters Inc was great, and I expect great things of Monsters University as well.

The Mary Sue: You worked with Eric Bana in Hanna and he played the Hulk for Marvel. There was a rumor going around you’re Joss Whedon’s “prototype” for the character Scarlet Witch in The Avengers sequel. Did you hear anything about that and second, would you be interested in doing a superhero film ever?

Ronan: I have heard about it and yes, I would. Yeah, of course I would. I love Joss and I love those films, and I love his handle on them and how he portrayed these kinds of superheroes. I think it’s very different from what anyone else has done. So yeah, I’d love to be in it.”

“I think it would be really interesting with the age-old Batman/Superman conflict,” Cavill told SFX, “because they are two different sides of the same coin and their methods are entirely different. And I think it would actually make for an interesting story as to why, first of all, they were going head to head and how. I think that would make a great story.”

But, let’s back up a second. Why exactly is she in her underwear? She tells Kirk to turn around, doesn’t mention why (were we expecting here to require a change of wardrobe?) and then acts coy when Kirk sneaks a peak at her half-dressed body. The scene was flat out gratuitous. It had no point. There was no reason for her to change clothes. There was no reason for her to change in front of Kirk.
