Hangout with Steven Spielberg Announced for ‘Lincoln’

Steven Speilberg’s been hard at work to bring to us another award-winning biopic. This time, what with Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln, he is bound to create quite a buzz with the film and stir up age-old controversy and worship for the 16th president of these United States of America.

It’s practically impossible to imagine that Lincoln will not reflect a highly subjective viewpoint of Abe. Some will be very happy with the American spirit and glorification of their “patron saint of freedom.” While one would expect history buffs to be the target audience of Spielberg’s film, it’s…

Star Trek Sequel Title Confirmed

Star Trek Sequel Title Confirmed
TrekMovie.com

TrekMovie has confirmed with multiple sources that “Star Trek Into Darkness” has been selected as the title for the 2013 sequel to JJ Abrams’ Star Trek movie. This is a title that comes out of a long process of discussion amongst the creative team. As reported earlier, Paramount tested a number of titles for the film over the summer, including at least one title that did not include “Star Trek.” Also noted in our earlier article, the title (by design) does not include a colon, like were used for the Next Generation films such as “Star Trek: First Contact” or “Star Trek: Nemesis.”

‘Fringe’ Boss Teases Three-Part Series Finale
TV Line

Fringe showrunner J.H. Wyman is taking a particularly hands-on role in ushering the show into the sunset by directing the series finale. But when that sci-fi swan song will air is up for debate.

Earlier this week, Wyman himself told a fan on Twitter that the series finale would air Feb. 1, 2013. Fox declined to confirm that date; sources tell TVLine the finale will air sometime after Jan. 1, however.

...

All told, Wyman envisions and is structuring Fringe’s farewell tour “as a 13-hour feature film type of thing, like a saga, because I feel that’s the best way to tell the…

‘Breaking Dawn’ Part 2

‘Breaking Dawn’ Part 2

Yeah, yeah, I know. It’s Twilight. But please, let me explain.

When I was younger, I used to read quite a bit. I was never really the “ravenous” reader, but I read a lot. As I grew up and started working, started making money, and started a family, my time for reading became almost none existent. But a few years ago I discovered a new way to read — audio books.

My wife was a long time fan of the Harry Potter books and she got me into it by getting me the audio book for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I was hooked. I listened to the entire series during my commutes, on trips, and…

Clint Eastwood “made it up on the fly”

Clint Eastwood “made it up on the fly”
Movie Line

Days after his empty chair speech made Clint Eastwood a polarizing symbol of the Republican National Convention, hometown paper The Carmel Pine Cone scored an exclusive follow-up with the 82 year-old former Mayor. His explanation? He made it up on the fly moments before taking the stage. You don’t say! “They vet most of the people, but I told them, ‘You can’t do that with me, because I don’t know what I’m going to say’... There was a stool there, and some fella kept asking me if I wanted to sit down. When I saw the stool sitting there, it gave me the idea. I’ll just put the stool out there…
