‘Agents of SHIELD’ Clip — Will Ward be Discovered?

‘Agents of SHIELD’ Clip — Will Ward be Discovered?

I’m not yet sure I like exactly what’s going on in Agents of SHIELD since Captain America: The Winter  Soldier hit theaters, but it’s certainly not boring. The stakes are higher, foes are friends and friends are foes. My wife pointed out to me that Ward’s turn was very Whedonesque. I suppose she’s right but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

In any event, this clip makes one wonder if he’s about to be discovered.

Anna Paquin Back in ‘Days Of Future Past’ Plus 3 Featurettes

Anna Paquin Back in ‘Days Of Future Past’ Plus 3 Featurettes

Kevin Jagernauth for The Playlist reports:

Just before Christmas, it was reported that Anna Paquin’s Rogue had been cut from Bryan Singer’s film, but fans rejoice, because it appears she’s back. Sorta. The folks at Buzzfeed noticed her name in the credits of the recent trailer, made a few calls, and have confirmed Paquin is indeed going to appear. “Essentially, [it’s] a cameo,” a rep at the studio said. So keep your eyes open.

While it may be just a cameo, Vulture adds that it’s a pivotal scene to the plot of the movie. What’s more, “three more mutants filmed secret cameos in the film” but…

‘Maleficent’ Featurette

‘Maleficent’ Featurette

I’m telling you, this looks like a lot of fun. There’s still some quetions marks hovering over it for me and I could see it being not so good. But I’m going to look forward to it anyway and hope I’m not disappointed.

Transcend the Weekend — What To See

Transcend the Weekend — What To See

There’s not a lot going on this weekend, but there is one that looks mildly entertaining, and one that I’m not even going to give the time of day. I’m not even going to tell you what the name of it is becuase it looks so bad.

Johnny Depp is looking to digitize you in your seat this weekend as he attempts to transcend his humanity.

New This Weekend

Transcendence — PG-13

I thought this looked like a really good sci-fi thriller — not that the premise hasn’t been done before, but I was really looking forward to it with some enthusiasm. That enthusiasm has been somewhat tempered by the…

‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Sequel

‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Sequel
Katie Atkinson — Entertainment Weekly

Cue Aerosmith’s “Dude Looks Like a Lady” on your tape deck: Fox 2000 Pictures is developing a sequel to the 1993 comedy Mrs. Doubtfire. And lest you worry that they’ll cast Zac Efron in the title role (actually, we might watch that movie), the plan is to reunite original star Robin Williams with director Chris Columbus, as The Hollywood Reporter first reported. Elf writer David Berenbaum is attached to pen the script.

“Should we make a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel?”

No.

“But what about…”

OH MY GOSH, NO!

‘Pirates 5’ and ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ Filming This Year

‘Pirates 5’ and ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ Filming This Year
B. Alan Orange — MovieWeb

Last we heard, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fifth film in the series, has not yet been greenlit by Disney. That hasn’t stopped producer Jerry Bruckheimer from claiming the sequel will be shooting before year’s end. He also claims that Beverly Hills Cop 4 will be up and running by then as well.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was originally set to be released July 10, 2015, in a summer overcrowded with tentpole blockbusters. It was delayed so that directors Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning could revamp the script byJeff Nathanson.

Noah — Review

0.5 of 5 stars
Noah

Noah is a film that is sure to make people mad. A film and the enjoyment of it is already such a subjective thing. There are people in this world who, believe it or not, have seen Captain America: The Winter Soldier and hated it. And it’s perfectly legitimate for them to do so even if I completely disagree. There are many who have seen Noah, and who loved it for various different reasons. And I would even go so far as to say that liking or loving this film is a legitimate opinion. I do not share that opinion. You might recall that before now, I considered Cloud Atlas to be the worst film I…

Samuel L. Jackson To Re-team with Bruce Willis for ‘Die Hard 6’

Samuel L. Jackson To Re-team with Bruce Willis for ‘Die Hard 6’
Ken Guidry — The Playlist

When “A Good Day to Die Hard” came out early last year, it was easily the least successful film of the franchise. The movie was critically reviled and only raked in $67 million in the U.S. box office. You would think 20th Century Foxwould take this as a sign that they should finally put this franchise to rest, but “A Good Day to Die Hard” somehow managed to become an international hit with $237 million alone. So, of course, that means we’re getting a sixth ‘Die Hard’ film.

If you’re a huge fan of the franchise, however, this rumor may actually perk your interest in a sixth ‘Die Hard’ film.…
