Bones, Season 8 Premiers tonight on Fox at 8/7c. Since I am a cable cutter I will have to wait for it to become available online. I will likely get a season pass in iTunes, then I’ll be able to let you know what I think of the season premier.

I’m still waiting for a network or even just a specific TV show to be available instantly on demand. Seems like it would be the next logical step in TV delivery. My hopes are not high that the networks and studios are interested in working with the evolving technology however. So I’m sure that I’ll simply have to wait a day for it to become available…

As you should have already heard, the fifth and final (sniff) season of Fringe largely takes place in 2036, a time in which the Observers have taken over.

In this season, which picks up right after “Letters of Transit,” the Fringe team, who have been preserved in amber for 20 years, are part of the resistance movement and fighting for freedom from their pale rulers. And it’s clear in the photo below, which you’re seeing first on EW.com, that they’re not going down without a fight.

MTV’s Josh Horowitz got the details in an interview with Whedon at the Toronto Film Festival, where the filmmaker was promoting Much Ado About Nothing. Fringe showrunner J.H. Wyman is taking a particularly hands-on role in ushering the show into the sunset by directing the series finale. But when that sci-fi swan song will air is up for debate.

Earlier this week, Wyman himself told a fan on Twitter that the series finale would air Feb. 1, 2013. Fox declined to confirm that date; sources tell TVLine the finale will air sometime after Jan. 1, however.

The release date of Season 2 of Star Trek The Next Generation has been released to retailers, which means the word got ’round quickly to the Internet. The release date is now known to be December 4th in the U.S.A.

I must confess that I have not seen any Game of Thrones but I keep hearing good things so I want to see it.

HBO has been pretty stupid about how it makes Game of Thrones available. The first season is on iTunes now so that’s probably my door in. I hope to dig into it soon.
