Corey Kinda Likes ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’

Corey Kinda Likes ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’
Reel Quick

Before you scoff, I have a confession to make: this is a surprisingly enjoyable film. Not great, or even very good, but lots of fun all the same. Walker does an excellent job as the axe-weilding Abe, and director Bekmambetov knows how to stage crazy, visually-arresting freeform action sequences like nobody’s business.

I think it probable that Corey has lost his mind. But, I suppose I’ll have to give this film a viewing sooner or later. Bleh.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Make Appearance as Batman?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Make Appearance as Batman?
HitFix

According to sources, Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in “Justice League” as the new Batman.

Now here’s where things get interesting.  The more insistent the drumbeat has become, the more poking around I’ve been doing, and it’s looking like we may see Gordon-Levitt in the suit earlier than that.  They’re a long way from filming anything “Justice League” related, but they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do… something.

So let’s take what we know and speculate a little bit.  How…

‘Revolution’ Midseason Finale

Well, that’s it. Ten episodes of Revolution are in the history books. Now we wait four months to find out if our brave protagonists survive.

If you have not yet seen Monday night’s episode ten, Nobody’s Fault but Mine, then you may want to come back to this article later. There will be spoilers ahead.

[WARNING: SPOILERS]

Reunited

This mid-season finale found what’s left of the Matheson family reunited, if briefly. The reunion of Charlie and her mother Rachel came fairly early after everyone but Miles was captured by the militia. The uniting of the entire family came toward the…

Cheetah Running at 1200 Frames Per Second

Cheetah Running at 1200 Frames Per Second

This is not related to any movie or TV show really, but it’s really awesome and I wanted to share it with you.

National Geographic captured a cheetah running 60 MPH at 1200 frames per second. Resulting 24 frames per second playback results in this super slo-mo, super awesome video. Seriously, I can’t think of a cooler thing to watch this morning. It’s a good thing that kitty is somewhat tame, because nobody is going to be outrunning it! Check it out! Toward the end in the credits, you can see how fast that little kitty is actually running.

‘So Undercover’ - No Shortage of Stupid Miley Cyrus Movies

‘So Undercover’ - No Shortage of Stupid Miley Cyrus Movies

Just found this. It’s been on YouTube for over a month but it’s comical how bad it looks. I mean, let’s see, bad plot? Check. Bad actress? Check. Lots of cheese? CHECK!

Does this look like a Miss Congeniality rip-off to anyone else? Well it does to me, and it looks like bad one to top it off.

But I suppose this will appeal to the teenage girl demographic — there’s certainly no lack for comments from what appears to be teenage girls on this trailer’s YouTube page. Such as:

I love how she says “I’m so Undercover” -33 Love you Mileyyy !!

Or:

OMG soooooooooo cooool…

Bane Blows Up Football Stadium

Bane Blows Up Football Stadium

Here’s another behind the scenes video from the upcoming Blu-ray release of The Dark Knight Rises talking about the scene where Bane blows up a football stadium.

Personally, more than the special features, I can’t wait to sit down and watch all three films back to back… okay, maybe not in one sitting or anything, but perhaps 3 nights.

Here’s the special feature:

Roger Ebert Reviews ‘Red Dawn’

Roger Ebert Reviews ‘Red Dawn’
Roger Ebert

The velocity of events picks up considerably, however, in an endless and mindless combat sequence in which the Wolverines prove to be fierce combat troops and the North Koreans are reassuringly incompetent. The kids, even the girlfriends, are adept at handling heavy-duty automatic weapons, even machineguns mounted on top of captured vehicles (or pointing out the sun roofs of their cars).

They’re also gifted strategists, instinctively occupying the high ground and spraying bullets down upon the hapless enemy forces who are often conveniently lined up in the street below. They achieve…

Josh Hutcherson Talks ‘Catching Fire’

Josh Hutcherson Talks ‘Catching Fire’
MTV.com

“They actually built a cornucopia in Atlanta that we shot at, and it looks amazing, and the way that the spokes got out, and the way everyone comes up on the pedestals and the water — it looks incredible,” he gushed. “I’ve seen some of the CG renderings that [director] Francis [Lawrence] has worked on, and they look really, really great.”

But the morsel fans will savor most is what Hutcherson had to say about the portions being filmed in IMAX.

I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to this film. Here’s the video of Josh Hutcherson from the link:
