Surely, the first thing that came to people’s minds when they heard Disney bought out Lucasfilm was the possibility of more “Star Wars” films. That one was a given. Well, it turns out that Disney has much more in mind than just another “Star Wars” trilogy, how about a live action TV series as well?

In a world in which smartphones are resembling mini-computers, it makes sense that Star Trek Into Darkness would have an app to suit it well.

A smartphone app for fans anticipating J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Trek sequel will launch at the end of this month, and will allow users to go on Starfleet-esque missions by inputting audio-visual elements into their phones.

For example, a fan could watch the Into Darkness trailer on TV, and the app’s audio tool would hear it and might reward its user with points for unlocking a new Star Trek image or wallpaper. The app’s geolocation tool might…

Jackie Robinson was the first black Major League Baseball player. It also means he was the focus of much scorn, criticism, and racism.

If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s racism. So while I’m not a big fan of sports at all, I will likely see this film.

There does seem to be an overabundance of films dealing racism lately though. Not sure if I’m just happening to notice a lot more or if there is a lot more in the last couple of years.

“He’s already working on the scripts for the series,” said Lee. “We will have to work. We shot it in Los Angeles to make sure that he is free to work across his feature life and his television life, but I love to see Joss who of course has made many great television shows in his day, enjoying television as much as movies. That’s flattering for us. We love that.”

We can assume the budget for a S.H.I.E.L.D. show will be high, but Lee is thinking long term economics. “On the one hand, we have to make shows that can sustain for many, many years and we’d love to see ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ go not just…

This is so horrible, but so funny. It’s a must see. And we can be glad that Disney did not make the original Star Wars films, although this may have been an improvement over the prequels.

Warning, you will probably never be able to unsee this when watching Star Wars in the future.
