
I loved Guardians of the Galaxy, but if I were nitpicking, I would point out that cassette tapes and cassette players rarely worked in a flawless enough way to keep a tape in good shape for 30 some years. In fact, in the real world, Peter Quill’s cassette tape would have died long ago just from normal magnetic and physical deterioration of the media. Then there’s the fact that after a tape player eats a tape enough times, it either breaks or becomes completely unplayable in some fashion. Then there’s the sound quality. I know we used to listen to those (roughly) 20KHz tapes all the time back…
